Unique Coatings is now coating the 08 focus tail lights.

Lenses can be either fully tinted for a full black out look, or have the red area tinted, leaving the clear surround untouched.

Cost for either is at a special intro price of 85 dollars plus shipping to and from.

We will be setting up a core program for them shortly for those who cannot be without their tail lamps.

can you do just a red out with a slight smoke overall... ?

yes we can. we can do a light tint to give it a slightly smoked look, or a medium, which is slightly more towards a blackout look. Dark (show car-use only) is too dark for the street

i want to red out the chrome.. then just give it a slight smoke... a'la' old jetta's.

you mean you want to first "tint" the whole tail light red to match everything, and then tint it?

sound crazy? i guess it does when you put it that way... "either or" situation?

i dont think we'd be able to do that. if the clear lens is capable of being seperated, we can paint to match the chrome surround inside the body color, and then tint the red portion. That would be pretty custom looking, but i dont think they can be seperated.

have you gotten the cores yet? ... i smoked 'one' of mine.. and i think its TOO light... it just looks like a hazy gray.. :(

if u guys can post a pic up that would be awesome too... because i dont want mine too dark, but the stupid light smoke looks dumb... didn't even bother finishing it after i started the vinyl..

Wow...those are amazing.

They look great....are these comparable to the light or medium smoke levels?

I want to take the flashy chrome look off of my tail lights, but still have the lights visible when braking.

Yes, this is the medium tint level.

Wow, those do look neat. You said something about the 08 tailights about them maybe being able to be separated to do something custom to them. I have an 07, do you know if there's any way to open those up and do something custom to them? like hm.. get rid of the chrome? hehe.

i don't think they can be separated. for love to ultrasonically weld the plastic housing to the lens, making it impossible to separate. your only real option is the tint the lens.

I want/will get a set as soon as I decide light or medium....someone buy some & let me see a pic w/ the brake lights on.[clap]

I want them for the 09 Focus but I dont want my reverse section smoke. Why?.... because it wont past VA inspection.

Thats fine, we can leave them clear for you. We can tint the red, and color match the chrome section of the tail light, while leaving the reverse portion clear.
