ok si i really kind of like the dashes in the 05+ cars. i have an 03. i know it fits, but i need help with a checklist of stuff to get it done.
thing in front of console,
dtec passenger airbag,
under steering wheel panel,
door panels for a power windowed car,
and aftermarket double din head unit.
will i need duratec a pillars?
i hope this is all i need. since this and a euro center console is all i'd really want to visually change inside the car besides seats.
the main reason is it felt like the duratec had more room in it riding in klondikes car.

A-pillars were unchanged until at least '08.
Don't know if you'll need anything structural behind the dash skin or not.

Funny, I like the new dashes.
Isn't it always the case; the guys with the old dashes want the new dash and the guys with the new dash want the old dash.
Reminds me of Dr Seuss and the Sneetches.

i've wanted to do this since i saw a 2005, and have always heard that the passenger airbags are wired completly different. basically need to switch a wiring harness out to get a working airbag. or you could have that ugly non-airbag shelf that the poor focus owners get.
i'd also be worried about some of the other extra stuff like traction control and...dang. lost my train of thought. oh, side airbags from seats, if you did end up changing the wiring harness to keep the passenger airbag. also, i don't think it's necessary to change door panels. i'd really like to hear how this goes, or if the dash swap even works for bolting it in.
EDIT: seems like my memory was based on conjecture of nay-sayers. go for it and show the way. the complete euro lock changeover was a simple swap and success in my case.
