I've been to 3 different ford dealers and 2 auto parts places and they all come up with SP-487 as the motorcraft spark plugs for the svtf....i even gave them the sp-463 part number and nothing.......then i gave them the old part number (the long number).....and still sp-487 was popping up....did the # change again?[dunno] .....if any of the ford parts guys on here can look this up for me it would be great!

we use the SP-463 cuz we like copper. these plugs have no home in any Ford vehicle. thats why many dealerships must order them.

the parts guy will get the sp-487 cuz he thinks you want replacement platinum plugs, not some copper plugs some forum guys told you to get.

advance auto can get the 463's

thank you thank you thank you.....advance was the first place i tried and got sp487....but i didn't ask them to try sp463....i'll have to ask them......the ford dealers want $17 per plug for the sp487.....thats insane!!...the dealers didn't really wanna try and find the sp463 plugs for me......again i'll keep searching and thank you

glad i could be of service[thumb]

the 487's are expensive cuz they are platinums and you'll prolly not need any new ones for the life of the car depending on your mileage

mine ran at .065 for a while but that was at the last bit of the spark plug's life and the copper was almost down to nothing.

but i would never purposely gap them more than .060. i have taylors now. maybe ill see how far i can go with them, dunno

ur car smelled like rotten eggs cuz it was dumping raw fuel onto the converter. raw fuel coming from the cylinders that werent firing.
