so i have already got the engine in and most of the wiring done, had to splice a few connectors for few things but, the prob i forsee is the anti theft module. the 2000 car (and body) has the anti theft mod in the body harness, the 02 has the mod in the dash harness. i havent seen if the wires are the same and can be spliced in to the 2000 so i dont have to change the ign switch. is this possible? any body encounter this? any input?????
.............also coming from the main fuse box under the hood there is a loom of about 20 wires that are cut off and would appear to have been for TCS, ABS things of that nature. i havent seen any unused connectors so is ford so freakin lazy they used the same engine harness for all models? will the car burst into flames when i hook up the batt?? anybody see anything like this ever???????? please help!!!!! i am without car for daily driving, any and all input will be appreciated very much!!!!!!! thank you in advance.

I am just in the process of this swap but I didn't have any wiring issues as I managed to get a 2000 standard Zetec wiring harness. I don't have Traction Controll but I do have ABS and there isin't any large looms of wire that are unused.

I did discover a bit of a quirk though. the connector for the Zetec Engine harness on my 2000 harness is different then the one on the engine (pulled from a 2004 focus). Same number of conductors but different size connector. Does anyone know if they made a wiring difference between 2000 and 2004?
