I have a 2.0 zetech and i was wondering if i could just bolt on a 6 speed manual transmission out of a svt right to it? and if so how hard would be?

you can do it.. because many have, but you will need the svt clutch, flywheel, all of the connectors, shift linkages... do you have a 5sp right now? if so i would just keep what you have... now if you have the tools and the know how... then that's another story, but most people will tell you to not bother.

You are lookin at close to 4grand Id say just in parts for the swap. Thats a good down payment on an SVT. Thats about half of what you could find one for.

now that i think of it it would b a whol lotta work to put in a manual from an auto u need all new petals break needs to b moved over and made less wide and u need to put in a clutch petal

A lot of people will tell you to stick with your 5speed if you're gonna boost. Saves a lot of money having that 5 speed too.

[scratch] I have a 2001 focus zx3 and i have a MTX-75 tranny in it right now .... but, my question is, are there any other transmission i can swap it out for a bigger geared or stronger pulled tranny? Doc: the mtx75 is one of the best trannies on the market. If you don't like the gearing grab some new gears, but that tranny will take you anywhere. You can also buy cosworth internals for the 6 speed getrag btw

how do you get new gears. like you mean the final drive gear 4.06? lol yeah my bro drives a 03 svt and tells me the same thing but it just seems like it has a slower and less aggressive pull then the svt does. but at a drag with an svt i always come out ahead cause of the gearing... so i'm a bit confused ... lol i'm an idiot when it comes to tranny's ... sorry!

Well duh, the svt has more horsepower than a zetec, of course it has more pull. Head, cams, intake manifold, exhaust, etc it's all tuned by ford racing.

Final drive yes, but you can also get crower gearsets I think

Are you trying to say you get an SVT engine and Getrag for $500? Cus a decent used SVt engine and getrag is gonna run around 2500. Then you need all the random parts from there. By the time your done with all that and labor you should be around, or way past 4grand. I really hope you mean 4grand is too much too pay when you can keep the 5speed and beef it up.

im selling the complete set to someone this weekend for 400$,,,shift cables,,pedals,cluch resivor and tranny and everything to do the swap from a parts car i have,,,even includes the clips and hoses and all that stuff along with the wiring harness parts and sensors,,,,and the tranny was just rebuilt,,,,,400$ so it is possible
