Thinking about getting the throttle body this summer and port matching the intake.http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=151118 Does anyone know the horsepower i would gain from doing this? Any educated guesses?

Typically with a stock setup i would say not much, id guess 1-2 hp maybe if that. It increases though the more mods you have done. Then again you have svt so im not sure on that.

DUDE! i port-matched my SVT to my 65mm TB last weekend. i shave off quite a bit.
while i was at it i completely cleaned out the manifold(off the car) and installed a catchcan so there wouldnt be anymore oil in there.
i shaved from the opening almost all the way down to the bottom of the TB hole. this way any bottle-necking is minimal. i used a chainsaw bit on my dremel and follow up with 380, 1000 then 2000. also wetsanded with the 2000. super smooth!
the butt dyno tells me there is a little more umph to it.
the biggest thing i noticed is that i can now hear more sucking sounds at only part throttle. a blip to the pedal and you really hear it. also getting back into the pedal after shifting; its pretty loud. definetly lets that 65mmTB do the job its intended.

after i put it all back together, i ran some seafoam through her and choked out the neighbors.

i suggest this be done to every focus with a larger TB!

Was it hard to take the manifold off the car?
