So I've been looking for a deal on n2o for about 2 months and can't find anything. I want to spend under $350. So finally it hit me. Why not buy it in parts of eBay. So I looked on NX's website to see what I would need. If I'm correct all I would need is-
5lb bottle or more-$80
14ft n2o feed line-$20
Fuel and n2o Solenoids-$100
Braided Steel Lines-$50
WOT + Toggle Switches-$15
So total that would be just over $300. It seems like it would be better to just buy it in parts. Let me know what you guys think. Any advice would help.
Also is there 50hp solenoids or do you just get solenoids capable of handling higher hp and they just work with w/e jets. Thanks.

I bought it all in parts and it sucked, buy the kit please save yourself some trouble!!! It ended up costing about the same as the kit, It took forever too. Some things are worth doing in pieces, this is not one.

buy it as a kit, just pick one up used and test the solenoids to make sure they click and you'll be able to do it for ~350 easily. There are more powerfull solenoids available - upgrades to the standard kit items, you won't need them using a 50 shot or 75 shot or 100 shot. I realize it's adding more money, but nitrous oxide isn't something to cheap out on - a motor is expensive - so get a MSD digital window, a digital WOT switch, maybe even a fuel pressure saftey switch....etc. You'll be able to find someone selling kits with all this stuff. A lot of people buy it and never use it so you can pick up good deals with lots of extras. Keep an eye on craigslist and the for sale sections of car sites. Look at srtforums.com, someone is always trying to get rid of a kit there. A purge is always nice to clear out your lines as well. Not to mention you'll want a bottle warmer to insure you have proper pressure all the time (A blow torch is not something you want to warm your bottle with, why people do this I have no idea) - one that turns itself off is better so you don't have to worry as much. If you want to use it on a track you are required to have a blow down tube installed. Lots of things to consider with the laughing gas.

If you are looking to spend around $350 then try out the NOS Sniper EFI kit. Comes with everything you need to install except the fuel rail adaptor that you will need. The kit is $350. I ordered mine through a company called speed unlimited...they have an ebay store and their own actual website with a 1-800 number that you can call to place the order. Their service was fast and I love the kit.
