Does anyone know a good place to buy aftermarket seats for the Focus? I found some on Focussport but they say I need to buy brackets for it too? That whole section of the site is really really confusing. Anyone know a good place to buy a seat that bolts right up? Or what I need to put em in?

i think for most of them you need brackets or have to modify your stock ones

Well, it is not very likely that you will find bolt on seats for the focus. Most afrtermarket seats require mounting brackets.

I have Corbeau's in my Mach 1. Had to order the track adapters when I ordered the seats. Very easy to do. Mach 1 seats were great but I needed the leg/head room. The corbeaus sit much lower and farther back. Thats a BIG deal in the mustang @ 6'3".

yes on the bracket need. just last night put in the new Sparco Steel Seat. drilling made the Sparco Universal Base fit the Ford mechanism, but yeah, it sits too high. maybe 2 inches. now lookn for a new plan.

I put in a set of recaro style, and needed aftermarket brackets. Purchased brackets from a local speed shop.

The only seats that i know of that will bolt right up are the Roush Seats.. but those arn't seats there a re upholster/bolster kit so technically its still the stock seat...

I just wish it was easier to find brackets and everything that will work for seats. They're expensive and oddly shaped so shipping them back would suck if you got the wrong ones or something. And the descriptions are never very specific or they show some universal photo.
Okay, I know you need the brackets, but I've also seen sliders and other components. What all is actually needed to make an aftermarket seat work? This is a question I don't think I've ever actually seen answered (unless I'm not looking hard enough).
I have no clue how aftermarket seats work but would love to know, so if anyone can help this fella out it would help me too [:)]

I have been looking into putting seats in my car as well. I have looked at about every possible brand from really shitty E-Bay crap to Sparco, Momo and Corbeau. They all usually come with sliders but you have to get vehicle specific mounting brackets for the Focus. The Weapon R brackets are the cheaper ones cost wise but Sparcos and Corbeaus are probably made with better materials hence the reason for a higher pricetag. Hope that clears up your question.

I've looked at corbeau seats, they make brackets that are designed for the Focus. You need a set for each seat. I like the GTS II, but I have never sat in one. It is a nice idea to buy from Focus specific vendors and keep the community going.
Sparco and Recaro look very nice but they are more $$$.
You might look at Procar seats too, they look nice. My local speed shop had some in their showroom. They also have a lot of pictures on their web site.

just a thought, you can get Corbeau A4s from CFM for $600 shipped and buy the Weapon-R brackets from Racinglab for around $65 + shipping.
