ok so i was bopping around the european parts website and came a cross the rs turbo manifold. now i was wodering, what turbo bolts up to that mani? and where could i get it? i know it wont be as radical as a tubular header for power production but its a factory looking piece and the turbo is still in view and away from the ac lines. so its all good right there. any knowledge or suggestions (especailly if you used this manifold before) would help in me deciding an fi route. (cuz i'm super add with this shit.)

Garrett's with the T-25/ T28 Flange... Like the GT28,Gt28Rs, GT2871, GT3071R, GT3076R... and so on.

Don't get the RS manifold it's a shitty cast manifold... after all it's just factory man

and on that note i say whatever...
my power goauls arent stronomical. and theres no one around my that can make a manifold so i will get teh so called shitty cast irom manifold and a gt28rs. i think thatll be a tax return well spent, lol (and who says that stimulus package can only boost the economy??) my guess is turbonetics will have all the flanges and stuff for building a downpipe? and the intercooler/ inlet piping will have to be fabbed together. hopefuly that isnt too hard to do.

check ebay.uk that's where I got my tubular manifold from =)
for all the flanges and stuff, I went with atp

you were the one who said you welded for a living right? if you were it may be practical to just weld yourself together a down pipe...the manifold is a whole nother animal, but there is a guy in here who welded his custom exhaust manifold together for his budget turbo.
I have never built a turbo kit and have no idea what goes into one, Ill be researching more into this but from the pictures i have seen it looks like being a welder with access to a machine shop will have great benefits for this sort of work.

a downpipe is easy. and so is the charge piping. but your right on the manifold. id rather get this anyhow its easier on the brain since i dont want to make a flange. you know ebays quality record..... enough said
and since i use this as a daily right now i'm not after massive power. i conversed with a buddy in another forum and he said the normal gt28 would be fine. and with an antisurge housing on the front (if thats possible wiht a gt28) and a ported 2k intake manifold and a bigger throttle body it should be a rather fun street car where the lag isnt too bad.

You wont need an anti surge housing on a GT28... those are designed for larger turbo's so they will actually work on cars that have smaller engines.

oh ok, well that'll save me some cash then, lol. as it is a normal gt28r is like a grand
