The SVT header is hands down the best for the Zetec engine...the only reason to replace the SVT header is to go turbo.

Yup.. That would be a waste of 100 bucks... and it would probably perform worse

Still beats paying $599 for a brand new one.
Well, at least you've got a spare just in case the one on the car gets damaged.

well the old ones are, they have been bottomed out and the are almost flat on the bottom.. and was told only the JBA headers will be the only headers for the SVT that you will see power gain...???? so IDK.

I do have to ask... how could this

Flow better than this:

??????
I could see a low rpm power loss with the jba.. but it just seems like it would scream up high. Especially on a supercharged zetec or svt. It flat out just looks like its a better flowing header.

The SVT/ST170 header was tuned by Cosworth for SVE over in Europe. The dynos don't lie...people like Tom have confirmed this. The SVT header may not "look" as pretty but its ugly for a reason - its been precision tuned to increase scavenging and is the only mass-produced long-tube Zetec header that features equal length runners. Not to mention, a 4-2-1 header is always going to be better than a 4-1 header.

^^^That feature in itself is a huge advantage over the JBA part.

true but JBA and FS are the only two headers that are worth a damn for the zetec. because of their design. they are dyno proven to be better then OBX and the lot of them.
i would have kept the SVT ones if i were you man.
the equal length runners is where the power is made
