has anyone ever tried to get another adj. drivers side seat track and put it on the pass. side so taller passenger's won't hit their had on the head liner[?] ?....bolt holes look pretty close just wondering if others have done this already...[cheers]

I suggested that to someone the other day when there was a general gripe about the height of the passenger seat. Never really saw any follow up discussion on the idea. But I am curious about it as well.

I can buy the track at the wreckers for $5 so I'll attempt it tomorrow.....I'll keep you posted....:)

ok.....i was able to do the swap but with a little bit of fudging around...cause the adj. frame is a pressed fit into the brqacket I grinded off the washer retainers and then it just popped out....easy....but since the drivers seat is off set and the passengers is centered i cut 1 5/8" off on side of the frame work of the adj. side and welded it on the other side which then centered it....and walla....also had to bend the seat lever abit as it hit the crank for the vertical adjustment....once it was all done and straight and true I touched up some of my bird dropping welds and it is as good as new....so it can be done as it only took about a 1.5 hours as there was some head scratching in there too.

man, you should write up a complete how to... i know people who can weld so that wouldn't be a problem, can you get some better pictures and explain exactly how you did it and what parts to get?
