Okay, so I'm ready to hook up my power windows. I'd like to put them on a NON-ignition dependant circuit, because I've always hated needing keys for power windows. The switch circuit has it's own fuse in it's own little holder, so all I need to do is tap into some power somewhere...

I would like to tap it into the fuse box behind the CD holder in the interior, in an "Unused" spot if possible. Is there power going to those things? ALSO, there is an additional wire that the instructions say to tap into the car's interior illumination circuit if I want the switches to light up. Where / how do I do this?

Most parts stores have a Bussman part, not sure on the part # off hand.

Also if you look as the fuse board sometimes there is an open with power going to it already, just needs a sub-system to go to. So you'd need and end to match what fits in the fuse block, and for the life of me I cannot recall what type we use, and I know I don't have any here or I'd mail ya one.

That fuse with a pigtail, I've never seen anything like that. Better buy a bunch, just in case you blow a fuse :)

That cost too much. AdvancedParts, or Autozone has it for much cheaper, I think..

Walmart on Annapolis Road near DC has fuses. I think they also have the tap fuse.

I also got my fuse kits from AutoZone for almost 10 bucks.



IMHO, AutoZone is the way to go.

Seconded. I've found mine for no more than $10 around here. Just shop around. But that Add-a-Fuse is the way to go.
