well i got the focus sport cool flo intake a while ago that comes with the ITG filter...my first impression upon opening the box was that the filter seemed kind of cheap...but i was just looking at them and focus sport has just the filter listed at 85 bucks..!

is the ITG filter really a great superior filter, especially compared to the AEM or other paper filters...i was suprised at the price and started to think well maybe the ITG filter is really good...plus their is always the you get what you pay for...

what the verdict on the ITG filters?

Some of the foam stuff was said to be the same kinda fabric used in the unservicable air filter in the 05-07..... but less restrictive.

It was also to have said that it could filter about 3x times as better than a conventional cloth filter (i.e. AEM, K&N, BOMZ, ETC).

It's high quality material; focussport wouldn't sell something that's half ass cheap, it's not in there character.

I've heard nothing but good things from ITG. If it's good enough for Formula1, it's good enough for me. [thumb]

I have had foam filters on all my dirt bikes, and they go through hell. If foam was a bad material, then honda, suzuki, yamaha and kawasaki have it all wrong. I say foam is ok as long as you clean it like anyother filter. My $0.02.

wow, i was gonna ask the same question. i just got the fs cai from a member here and was trying to decide weather to use the itg filter or get a k&n with a outerwear prefilter. has anyone had issues with the foam filter getting wet? it seems like it's placed in a pretty safe dry area on the fs intake. just wasn'tt sure if i should get a prefilter just to be safe.

i have the ITG Drop in filter and i think it works really well, i went to get an oil change and the guy almost put it in the trash, i told im that i will take care of it(wash it)....
