: Full Blooded Focus NooB

Figured I'd say hi to all. Just pick up my forst Focus Saturday. '08 Vista Blue SES A/T 2DR. I initally bought it for the economy aspect as I drive 200 miles a day, but I'm really liking it, it is fun to drive, handles a lot better than I expected (I owned all mustangs before) and is plenty peppy for NoVA traffic. All in all great car. I hope to do some little things here and there, not too much probably as it IS still a commuter, but we'll see.
That's all for now.
Edit for Pics...

ew, 200 miles a day? lol, i hate to say it...but you probably could've still gotten something with better mileage...but good job sticking with the ford, and the interior looks quite comfortable in the 08.

Thanks for the welcomes, I did add a gallery link to some quick pics. There were other cars with a few more MPG, but not for the price and what I got as far as options, honestly Sync was a major factor for me, I'm a geek, I admit it. I needed a home for my iPhone. I wanted to get the manual, but time was a factor and around here I would have had to order the car. This week so far I am averaging 32-33 on paper, not the trip computer, I have a hard time trusting those. Most of my driving is at highway, Id say around 10 percent city driving. I looked at Civics, Cobalts, Scions, etc and really didn't like them all that much. We actually have xboxes here at work for delivery vehicles and I like the Focus better. And the deal we got on the car I really couldn't pass up. The interior is surprisingly comfortable, especially for Ford, it is usually a crap-shoot on Ford seats. It actually is more comfortable and supportive then my Mustangs I have had over the years.

yeah 200 miles is a lot, the first thing i would be doing is getting it tinted to keep the sun out of your eyes a little better and possibly a better sound system to keep you entertained for the long drive everyday.
Nice car though, my brothers got a v8 mustang and he gets about 20 mpg city 24 hwy, so you should see and improvement of about 4 to 8 mpgs all depending on how you drive.

Thank you for all the welcomes. and so fast too, I guess I'm not the only one wasting company bandwidth...lol. I did add a gallery link for pics. Yeah 200 miles a day, it was hell on the 06 GT I turned in, it already had 60k on so we got rid of it while we could still get some coin for it. I do bleed Ford Blue so there was really no other choice. Well we did do look at Scions, Corolla's, Civic's, Cobalts etc, but nothing really struck our fancy. Granted Sync was a major draw, let's face it, I am a geek and I needed a cool toy to hook up to my iPhone. As far as milage so far I am getting 32-33 average on paper, I dont really trust the trip computers, the one in my 06 was not that accurate. Most of my drive is hwy, like 90 % of it. I usually run about 75mph average. The factory system actually isnt too bad compared to Ford's previous systems. Hit's good enough for what I listen too, It's got Sirius which I am liking much better than my old XM. I think the only major options I didn't get were heated seats and leather, I even got the spare tire. My GT got around 21 average after the tire swap, BTW, what is Fords love affair with Pirelli all about. The stock tires on the 06 were crap. My 99 V6 get's around 25-26 but it already has 150k and enough mods to not be commute friendly anymore. Well I've babbled enough for now, Everybody back to work!!!
