My brother just bought a 2004 ZX5. What a wonderful car. It drives and feels like a VW or Audi.

I read past reviews of the Focus in Car and Driver. They all severely criticize the Focus' seats. I didn't notice any discomfort while driving his car, although I did only drive it 10 minutes. Were the seats changed for the 2004 model year?

I haven't read anything about bad seats, mine are fine and it's an 02, I have no complaints. Maybe the car and driver people woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

well, i do know that the zx3/zx5 seats are better than the lx/se. cause i have an se and the seats are comparable to a cafeteria bench, whereas my friends zx3 feels awesome, almost sub-racing feel. very nicely bolstered.

could they be talking about the back seats? like for storage and folding?

My wife has a '03 SE PZEV sedan & I have a '04 ZX3 PZEV. The difference in the seats to me is night & day. My ZX3 seats are a lot more comfortable w/ more side bolstering. Every time I drive my wife's car I feel like I am going to slide right out of the seat when cornering.

I have the ZTS with leather.. I slide all over. I don't care for the seats much but they are comfy. Does that sound strange? They are comfortable on long trips, but going around corners they are slipery

I just got an 04 ZX5 also. I noticed the seats right away (not so much any more because I am used them them) - they "cuddle" you more than normal seats I've driven in; they have good side bolstering I guess is the less pansy term!

I took a 300 mi trip down to Baltimore and they were confortable the whole way. Now that I think of it, I didn't feet sore of have to stretch when I got out of the car after the trip. They are nice seats if you ask me.

I was just telling my wife today that the seats were great. The side bolsering is perfect. I like these seats better than my SVT's, with the exception of the heat.
