: Karma Can Kiss My A$$
OCS12 02-16-2008, 01:44 AM I've reached the conclusion that the whole good karma thing is a load of crap. Over the last two days, while driving, I've pulled over to help five different cars shovel/push/pull themselves out of snowbanks or ditches. Apparently no good deed goes unpunished. I walked out of work tonight to find my driver side mirror laying on the street next to my car. As if that's not enough, while driving up my own driveway, I get stuck. I back up to have another go at it, and my damn Focus develops a mind of it's own. I slide off the side of my driveway and mangle the side of my car. At least I couldn't break the mirror off, since it was alreadly gone! Then, just to piss me off, I seemed to have lost my keys somewhere in my driveway while trying to dig my car out.
Everything was going fine before, so apparently when I decided to be a good person is when things went wrong. Just a piece of advice... If you like your car, be a prick. Being nice doesn't seem to pay.
killer ZETEC 02-16-2008, 02:49 AM ^^ i hear that. i' save everyone and then my var doesnt run right.... go figure, lol.
nepafocus03 02-16-2008, 07:40 AM that sucks man, good luck with finding your keys and gettin your car all pretty again.
whynotthinkwhynot 02-16-2008, 08:09 AM I help people a lot. Over the years it doesn't seem like I get much in return. I think that's par for the territory. I still do it. It's part of my "job" as I call it. Not getting anything in return, or bad luck is just part of the test to see if you're helping people for the sake of helping, or helping them for yourself.
Yeah, I've been disgruntled many times over it just like you are now.
OCS12 02-16-2008, 08:26 AM Well, at least I found my keys! After looking at the mirror this morning, it seems to be strategically broken in all the right places to make me buy as many parts as possible! Stupid Ford engineers. If you're going to give us cheapo, non-folding mirrors, couldn't they at least break away without snapping off a tiny piece of plastic from everything in the surrounding area?
Klondike 02-16-2008, 08:40 AM i hear ya, im the same way, i will help people to the end, but when i need it no one is around, or i get the shaft by almost get mauled by trucks and such on a daily basis....
sir alpha 02-16-2008, 09:30 AM just say it was all one simple act that way u pay one decutable and move on then it is all taken care of and u can have it all fixed now

Couldn't agree with you more.
As far as doing good deeds goes, I question that myself. When I hit that huge piece of concrete last week, that day, I had stayed after work to help 4 or 5 women at work dig their cars out......
I still don't "expect" a reward everytime I do something for someone though. I know it'll come back around to me somehow, someway in a positive form.
WUGcatsvt 02-16-2008, 03:48 PM When I do good works I dont expect it to come back to me in a good way or be rewarded for it.. I do it because its good to do.. I guess thats just me though

good point. there are good ppl still out there in this world and one day, maybe not today, but one day you will need help and someone will be there and you will be glad you did the things you did to help other in the past. karma doesnt repay you 3 days after you help someone. it not something you can bank on at any given time. just trust that you did what you did out of the goodness of your own heart. hell i appreciate you helping those ppl. one day one of them may see a focus on the side of the road in need of help and it may just end up being someone from this very site! it is a small world out there yanno.

how about a car wash in the summer
Peregrine 02-16-2008, 06:33 PM See, I have to involuntarily do that....lol
OCS12 02-17-2008, 01:12 AM Ok, Karma is forgiven. Apparently it felt bad. My poor little focus got hit AGAIN by a city owned snow plow tonight. Any and all previous damage was completely covered up by the snow plow's effort. Best of all, the bar I was in has the entire inncident on video thanks to a security camera. Now I can have my car fixed on the city's tab instead of mine. Oh, and yes, I will post the video of a snow plow raping a Focus once I get a hard copy of the video.
I feel bad for my poor little car though. No car should ever have to experience having it's mirror removed by force twice in less than 24 hours.
sir alpha 02-17-2008, 08:15 AM that is a bout like going to a forgetful proctologist with a red bull in his hand
Peregrine 02-17-2008, 09:52 AM ^^^^I was thinking boxing glove.....lol
