i am considering buying my first focus...
its a manual transmission, 2000 model with 180,000Kms (roughly 85,000Miles)...
i wanted to ask, what are the problem areas that i should look for when i go see the car?
i have an appt to see and test drive the car on saturday...
i really do appreciate any help you give me...

In my honest opinion..DO NOT DO IT. That's a problematic year for the Focus and 85k miles doesn't help. How much are they asking?

^^^^^Hmmmm I wouldent say that...aslong as all the kinks were worked out..should be fine..

Not a good idea bro. My buddy's 2000 SPI foci SE is in rough shape. He's on this forum but hardly comes on. I guess i'm addicted lol. If you have questions i can hook you up with his user name. anyway, still not a good idea.

well you didnt state which model,,but regardless of which one,,the nada or kbb value on any model focus 2000 with 85,000 miles in fair condition, $2000 us dollars is about a grand below the estimated book values. im not sure what that is in canadian currency.but if its already in beat around shape id only offer $1800, but if your looking for a good reliable daily car id probably bump up to at least an 03

Get a Carfax report on it. Mine's a 2000 zx3 with 115,000 mi and it runs great.
