Nothing much to say. The other day I spend 1 hour at my local dealer just trying to find a nice horn (Yes I push every horn in the showroom [rofl] ) and came up with the conclusion that the best horn is the 2004 F-150. That will move people off the road! [thumb]

What do you have in your Foci?

The horn really bothers you that bad? I couldn't tell you how many times I've used mine in a year, but I bet I could count em all on one hand. I hate the sound of horns as I feel most of the time they're used for no reason. I go on alert and look around to make sure I'm not about to hit/get hit by somebody and it turns out someone's whaling on it for no good reason... happens all the damn time![?|]

Are you having your dealer or a shop put an F150 horn in? That will shock people I think, won't expect it from a Focus... now that I think of it my Mustang had a surprisingly loud and authoritative horn, not real expected from the little thing.

Buy an airhorn, and hang that thing out the window. I thought about buying one to move people out of the left lane. The reason I haven't bought one is because I'd use it too much, and have to buy more of them...I don't use my car horn because I'm embarrassed by it...LOL.

driving in the city i honk my horn a lot. and i hate that dinky lil thing. its like the road runner "meep meep"..lol I dont care enough about my horn to change it though. rolling down the window and yelling "move [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]" is just as effective!

I'm pretty sure that there is no where to mount the train horns in a Focus. Except for on the roof (g@y) or in the trunk. Which would defeat the purpose. But it would be pretty funny

I hate my stock horn also. I hear it every time I set the alarm.
I bought these and am installing them this weekend.http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=30980
They are genuine Fiamm Italian horns seen elswhere on the web for $40 or more.
I'll post pics when done.

i have a friend who used to poke fun at me for my "whimpy horn" he also liked to call it a "girly horn" so then he wanted to take a look at my engine, so i we have the hood up and i am sitting in the drivers seat cause i had just started the car. he sticks his head right down in there, and i just cant help my self. i nail the horn. i have never seen anyone jump that high in my life.

needless to say, he has never since made fun of my horn.
