i have the usual focus front suspension clunk. i thought it was the swaybar links, replaced those, nothing changed. thought it was the strut bearings, changed those, it got a little better but it is definitely noticeable. my right camber plate is worn from where the strut bearing wasnt there anymore, and i feel that either that or just the design of the camber plates is causing the noise. even when im in fifth and just tap the gas i hear clunk clunk. does anyone know of any camber plates that are worth a shit and dont rattle around (i have spc) or if it may be another problem? thanks

if it happens when you tap the gas it's probably not the suspension, it's probably one of the engine mounts, more specifically the lower one, if that's bad it will let the engine rock backwards and that movement could cause a clunking noise. And one of your turbo piping pieces could be hitting something creating the noise too.

this is true. i have replaced all of the engine mounts but the lower one. i just havent gotten around to that one yet. ill try that. but it seems to be coming from the right side of the car. it doesnt only make the noise when i hit the gas, it does it over bumps and crap too.

i got the same problem with my left side but mine only does it going slow and turnin and hitting bumps but doesnt do it over speed bumps
