that being said it is the nicest car i have ever owned it is the first car or truck i have had w/ al. wheels and power windows/ mirrors.more than one disc player/ mp3 player/ 37mpg and they do have some pep too

I think your chart is a little skewed.

I can see a SPI beating a D15, but a zetec is not going to beat a DOHC VTEC motor, sorry. SVT motors are good, but they're not going to beat a K20, they might beat a B series depending on how old it is and which B series motor it is. I don't even consider the RS a contender since we don't even have it here.

I agree. Focus motors are nice, but they hardly are top dog compared to some of the other offerings out there. I've spent a fair amount of coin getting my D23 to the same level of performance from a stock S2000 with F22C. VTEC is an impressive technology considering its been around since the early 90s, and only now are engines getting capable of offering the top end power and the low end drivability of a VTEC equipped engine.

where to start?

1. if you are going to call someone a moron, at least spell "moron" correctly.
2. stock zetec makes less horsepower than ANY DOHC vtec engine.
4. the K series is widely regarded as the best 4 cylinder engine currently in production. great engine design by honda.
5. is the RS better than the s2000 or NSX?

My wife owns a Honda Accord EX and as much as I like her car, I'd never trade it for mine. I just love my car. To me, it doesn't matter if the engine is more powerful or less powerful because you can always add power to it. Personally, i'd rather have a car that has less power. It's all the more work I get to do to it and all the more accomplishment I fell once it's done.

If your talking about the 01-05 EP3 civics with the "I-VTEC" badges, those
motors are not the same K20 motor that's in the RSX typeS or the 06 Civic si,
the motor in the EP3's make considerably less power.

here is a fun fact. a google search turned this up, the korean's had a form of vtec in there planes in ww2.
