What are your thoughts on this car? I decided that having a V8 with alot of horsepower is going to kill me, and although the cars are fast in a straight line, i will be screwed in the turns. So my current comparison is the 350Z and the G35... I am pushed away from the 350Z because its a 2 seater though...

The G35 has that sportyness as well as luxurious feel to it... kinda classy. The cars only got about 280 horsepower but thats more then enough... its a big increase from our 135 so ill be happy with the extra power... plus RWD.

What are your thoughts/ideas about the car? Im looking to spend 30K MAX! Out the door! And i want something sporty and luxurious...

I don't think you can get G35 for 30k. 30k is just a base price. I think you should consider something like 35-40k
I personaly like volvo C30...But I still take G35. It is very nice.

can you say insurance?

Maybe look at a top-of-the-line mazda 6?

i mean ya the g35 is a decent car but i think I would get sick of it after a while and wish I bought something else... or just start modding it... lol

hey if it come with the fluff might has well I miss my wifes old golf gti vr6 that car had almost every option for that year it was pimp tight. It would be nice if my focus was half has nice though don't get me wrong I think the foci insides are better than most small car inisdes.

G35 is a great car. There was someone on here a little while back who moved on to one.

Only differences in the G and the Z besides in style and comfort (besides the obvious back seat) is a 500lb weight difference/addition in the G really. As far as modding goes though, their on par with each other for the most part, although the G requires you to convert the intake to the Z style to accomidate the Z's intake offerings. Good part is though, the small intake change and the ever popular amongst Z modders Pop Charger won't run you too much. Here is a wiki that is linked to one of the best Z/G forums I found and became a member of when I was looking at getting a Z a while back; http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Infiniti_G35

After having driven my buddies G (only had an AEM CAI on it), I decided that the car felt a little lacking for how big the engine is. I'd still have one, but I'd want to do some serious work to it to get it where I wanted it. With that said, and it's no big secret at all that I'm a huge Nissan/Nismo fan, I'm really hoping to move on to a Subbie one day. As stated, the G and Z are great cars, and if you're truly in the market for a RWD car, and considering one, by all means, go for it. The VQ35DE is a great engine with lots of possibilities. Me, I'm hoping for AWD one day and although great cars, Nissan has no intention on making either AWD even though killer ZETEC is right, the G35 in Japan is the current Skyline 350GT.

Good luck in your choice and keep us updated!

The G35 is a nice car, but I feel its nothing special anymore and everyone and their mom has one. If I was going to get one, idk if id be able to settle for anything but the new version. The older g35 just seems to dated to me. Back seat inst realy a back seat, you can't really fit anyone back there. The luxary side is definitly a plus though. I really think what you need to do is take this list of cars you have, and go test drive them. Don't assume anything about them or make performance assumptions. Go drive then and then make your decision. Just cause one has a v8 and one has a v6 doesnt make it a better handeler in the turns.

So once again...go test drive your list.

I would go with the G35. I would also like the 350Z, but being a family man, a two seater isn't in the cards. The G35 does balance out the luxury and sportiness aspects, though.

[unsure]haha Yeah, that whole saving up part would be the worst part aside from then having to save up a third lifetime for mods. lol Not to say I wouldn't have one, that thing is beyond a beast! and I'm pissed that that ridiculous Pro Street made it to where you can only push 6oo ponies from it! That car was built to compete with Porsche's! lol

Sorry, back on topic. Yeah, test drive, test drive, test drive! And do yourself a favor and read through some of that cars forums and get a feel of what owners are doing and saying about their rides too!
