: What are you doing to prep your car for winter?

What is everyone doing to prep their car for winter? We don't typically have TOO harsh of winters here, but I am still doing some maintenance. I just replaced the tires with a nice set of Fuzion VRi which are a HPAS tire. I have a bit of "sludge" leaking from where the valve cover meets the engine, so next oil change (which is due around now) I will be replacing the valve cover gasket and changing the oil. I always use a synthetic. Any thing else you guys thing I should do/inspect? And what has everyone done or plan to do?

I need to air up my tires again. I think I've also got a small oil leak from the driver's side of the engine that I didn't have a month or so ago (before it got cold).
Also, even though it doesn't get terribly cold here in texas, it's still colder than i'd like it to be in the mornings and my car takes forever to warm up especially once I start driving so I might get a small piece of cardboard to put infront of the radiator to keep the cold air from keeping the engine from warming up.

Swapped wheels, changed to 5w-20, added de-icer washer fluid. Oh and I made sure my scraper/brush was in the car.

still haven't prepped the car yet, only snow we have seen here has been in the mtns....hell it was in the 60's on monday!! But I picked up a set of stock 16's w/ dunlop winterforce's on them and will be throwing on a set of mudflaps as well. The antiskid they use here is basically small boulders. They dont believe much in salting the roads here. Other than that, some winter mats as well. I will probably start swapping stuff out this week as they are forecasting snow this week.
