Wife and I decided to purchase the Xcal2. I need to get the the ECU to record the code for Randy (FocusSport). I read the 'how to' about pushing in the glove box door but it does not want to move in that direction. Is there a trick to it?

just push in on the sides and it'll pull forward...
or the code will be on the passenger side door jam.

You can squeenze one side of the glove box at a time at the point where the the rubber stop hits the plastic. then it will fall right out (and dump the contents of your glove box on your floor!)

Mine's an 03 and the engine code was also written on the passenger side door jam. You have to open the door to almost 90* to see it

What sides are you talking about Red? From underneath?

FocusSport specifically state not to use the code on the door as it may not be correct.

well...i used the one on the door because i couldnt find the one on the ECU...
but mine was correct i believe...

and i will be on the side next to the dash.

I can see my ECU I think. But it looks like it is behind the footwell cover (Maybe what I am seeing is not the ECU).
Ok. So guide me here (I really do suck at interiors. I usually break stuff)). Where do I place my hands and squeeze to get to the ECU.
