you know, if I'm remembering correctly, the guy that built this is an exotic mechanic. He restored my father-in-law's 1964 Jaguar E-Type back to stock.

I went to his shop he had lambos, ferraris, and all kinds of other highly exotic cars.

If it's who i'm thinking it is (John Haugh) He did it right ;) but I'm doubting it is him, because i just don't see this guy playing with domestics at all

yeah...kinda a waste of money on the lambo, lol. love the interior though, looks amazing in there, as if it were meant to be. the rear end is awful, doesn't fit the mustang. just isn't right. like the front bumper though. props for creativity.

Agreed, thats how nice the interior should be in the mustang lol. Rest of the car, interesting but, blah...destroyed two of my favorite cars. Hopefully when the Mustang undergoes its redesign at the end of the decade it gets a more livable cabin and one thats not so cheap.

This Italian Exotic Mustang is alot better imo.

I like that interior...a lot. The front end looks good too, but I don't like the rear. Those wheels are ugly as hell too. And I like the idea of having a V-10 powered AWD beast, but not in a Mustang. And I don't see whats so bad about the color...sure, its not an exciting, bright color, but it still looks good. Overall, it was a good idea in my book.

Ok, it looks like I'm in the minority here. I love it (maybe not the rear end as much). I can like any car however if enough ingenuity and effort were put forth to make it look right. I guess I'm just looking at this as if all the parts were just metal and plastic. The design is nice, the interior looks fantastic and the color fits it. Kudos to the fabricator! Job well done.

so you gained 2 cylinder and an annoying exhaust tone, so what if it has 500 horses. the pasta rocket wail should not be coming from a mustang, not to mention this thing is probably just a show car and will fall apart on wisconsin roads, so my vote goes to thig guy being slapped with a 2x4 that has rusty nails in it because there are some things that should not be done, this is one of them

Italian exotics usually have one of two new transmissions available: 1) you push a button, hit the gas and go; or 2) there are trigger shifters behind the steering wheel.
I saw a new Ferrari that had this transmission that you just push "drive", then "sport", and then you just hit the gas, and when the tach hits 4000 it drops the clutch. I saw that on Fifth Gear btw.

Its an auto/manual. Its called E-gear for the lambos. And actually theres no push a button and go or one with triggers, the two trannys you listed is one tranny. The auto/manuals have automatic gears, or you can shift them manually with paddle shifters. You can still get a standard tranny in a lambo and other italian exotics but most come with a auto/manual, cause its most prefered, and well it most cases...its just plain better lol.

yea most of the time lol, but the F1 style autos they have now in these cars and even cheaper cars will shift alot faster then any professional can with a standard tranny.

yeah, shifting gears using your arm AND foot is becoming a lost art

DrkKnight614
11-13-2007, 06:55 PM
yeah, shifting gears using your arm AND foot is becoming a lost art

now its becoming your fingertips. Being someone that never has driven stick before, I love these auto/manuals. But I'm gonna actually drive stick one day so I know how to do it, I might even own a car thats stick, considering most cars that arent worth 100k dont have that great of an auto/manual yet, besides a handful

What I'm hoping is, not that this tranny phases out the standard, but that it phases out the automatic tranny, which is basically whats happening. As options in cars that you can get this with, for example a GTI...you either get a standard or DSG(automanual).

So hopefully in the future the slushbox as we know it will be out of the picture. Who knows, maybe they'll be a focus with a duelclutch auto in the future...that is if the focus is around in the future.
