One of the things I hate about owning a car is how easy it is for someone to vandalize it and completely get away with it. I think there's also a ridiculous law where if the repair expenses didn't meet a certain minimum cost, it couldn't be considered true vandalism.

I've had maple syrup get poured all over my car as a prank one morning, and the cops didn't care about it (although I can't really blame 'em). Then I had my driver side mirror get smashed up, which I had to pay for out of my own pockets (about $75) to have new one be ordered and installed on the same day.

I didn't bother asking insurance, but I'm sure it would raise the premium (which sort of makes you question what the point of insurance is anyway). It's always a lose-lose situation unless you have a security camera being pointed at your car 24/7. There's really no way to prove that anyone did something to your car.

thats bullshit man...i too hate how people have absolutely no respect for other peoples stuff...especially cars. i have a big ass crack in my bumper where it looks like someone punched it...

oh the times i wish i could hook up cameras and catch these dumb**cks...

Thats why some day, the security systems that come with cars are an electric field...so if someone touches your car that doesnt have your pocket keyless card, then they get a nice shock. That would be great. That would be a good system for car jacking, if someone tries to hot wire the car they get shocked lol.

back in cali, went to my car to leave for school one morning, found it with a busted mirror, 2 slashed tires, and en extra door ding and knicks all in the door from whatever they swung at the mirror and the shattering glass hitting the car.

also have swirls on the side of the car, about waste high, where it looks like someone sat up against the car and rubbed their ass around a few times. and i sure don't knowingly let people lean all over it.

then there's the time i found it one morning, hood and windshield covered in kitty litter, mayo and whip cream. my ac shot kitty litter at me for weeks if i turned it on too high. car smelled like it too. there was no way to wash 100% of it out from under the hood and from in the vents and everything.

and also the time, after school one day i had it parked on a corner right at the school. me and some guys are coming out the back side of the building and walking by at a distance, we see these kids all hanging around by my car, 2 girls leaning all up against it as if its theirs. so we hide behind a bush. i hit the panic button. they jump and scream. we turn it off. continue hiding. they get back against it like dumba$$es. so we set it off again. they jump. they scream. one of my buddies who's a BIG guy, starts walking that way and shouts "i'd appreciate it if ya'll would stay off my car" and they got the picture, lol.

but the whole point is, like others have said, SOME PEOPLE DON'T GIVE 2 CENTS ABOUT THE PROPERTY OF OTHERS. one reason i'm saving some body/paint work and a body kit installation till the summer is because at that point i'll be moving into a gated apartment complex. here in downtown birmingham, and around the college i now go to, cars get jacked up all the time. a friend last semester found her monte carlo (which was on 22"s) sitting on blocks with half the transmission/engine components gone.

PEOPLE DON'T CARE. unfortunately not everyone's parents instilled in them such values to take care of their own stuff and not ruin that of others.

I hate people like that. It really burns me up inside because my car has been vandalized twice (keyed on one side, and a dent in the rear quarter panel). As a result, instead of just getting my body kit painted this spring to match my paint, i'll be getting the entire car repainted, because they would have to repaint so much of it because of the vandalism anyway. I hate people who have no respect for other people's property.

that really sucks, Long Island has been having tire slashing problems lately, people have just been running down street in the middle of the night slashing tires on like 15 cars per night

this happened to my girlfriends focus 3 days after she bought it. I still don't understand why anyone would want to steal stock focus wheels.

her insurance pretty much did nothing for her. she called them, they made her car sit like that over the weekend cause the local agent was on vacations (bullshit! someone could have easily came back and took the other two) and then just got her new wheels, which she still had to pay for out of her pocket.

Heh, I did the panic button trick on my ex one time. She was laying down on my hood trying to act all sexy and didn't know I was on my way back. She completely freaked out when I set it off, but later realized it was all in good fun. Good times.

Anyone also ever watch the Ka commercials with the sunroof cat decapitation and the pigeon being flung from the hood? Sometimes I wish my Focus had a mind of its own like that. One more reason to bring the Ka over to the US.

to bad parents don't know how to instill respect for other people into children anymore. or schools or pretty much anyone of the younger age group. it really sucks. that is why i like being in the military. that kind of crap doesn't happen on base because in the military you do something wrong and you will get punished for it. so there is my two cents

Inmature people, what can you do

I know the feeling, ive been woken up early in the morning by my parents to go clean egg off of my car. Luckily i cleaned it up before the yoke did any damage but the shells still chipped my paint and now i need to repaint almost my whole car because im a perfectionist. Something like 7 spots where i have swirl chips from the shells. I hate ppl.
