Hey, thanks! I'm pretty happy all the way around with the buying experience and the car. One of the guys I work with is a big tuner and didn't believe I picked up this car for 11K. I had to show him the autotrader ad. :) Turns out there was a little bit of drama at the dealership over this. They had to honor the price, but I think they didn't make much money off of me. Especially considering they gave me about 114% on my trade in value. (kbb puts a '06 Charger R/T at $21,8 and they gave me $24,8)

I've been trolling these forums for about a week while I was doing my research and reading up on the SVT before I decided to shop for one, and I've seen this neon driving character all over the place. It's like the guy that everybody loves to love when they don't want to push him in front of a speeding train. We have had people like that on my itburnouts forums, but they usually get run off within a month. I guess they frown on our lack of a "silver-spoon-up-your-ass" blend of humor. That, and being told to stuff it in your balloon knot a few times also makes people go away.

Back on topic -- I spent a whopping 15 bucks on my car today. I had to order a new wiper fluid jet and a clip for the cover that goes over the seatbelt assembly (the top half anyway). I was missing one of the screws. I hate that they make you buy 4 of them. Grrr... I did talk to my brother who works in Covington at a custom performance vehicle shop who thinks he can get me a break on some upgrades for my car. We'll see what he comes back with. My focus is in such good shape, I'm considering converting it to a show car as an all original look w/ performance upgrades. I would possibly have to replace the rear bumper cover and see about having the front seats recovered, since the driver one is fairly worn. Apart from that, the car doesn't really NEED anything.

I have never been a big fan of blue on a car, but the SES looks pretty good in that color. Not sure how it would go in a 3 door, tho.

Well, after I had my car a few days, I had to take it in because of the brakes problem (the panic light was going off/on). Ford told me I would need new rotors/pads at 26K which would've run about $400. I called Subaru Gwinnett and they told me to bring it in and they would take care of it. They gave me a Turbo Baja which I had for just about a week. Nice driving vehicle, but the Baja is horribly uninviting. Anyway, they followed through as promised and took care of the brakes, not charging me a dime. The GM also told me to go get a second key cut and they would pay for it. If anybody is ever in the market for a Subaru, PLEASE let me know and I will send you to these guys. It's been the best experience.

True, but the pads were well worn. The Discs were somewhat worn, but still within spec after turning. I could've added fluid and just ignored the pads for a little while, but like you said. A free brake job is a good thing.
