: i think i just might want this....

hmm, just body work is all it needs. can be done. and its cheap.
05-09-2004, 04:19 PM
The only way i see that as being good is if you took those svt wheels and brakes and inteior and engine with tranny and implanted them all into your zx3. As for saving that car's body, way tooo much work. Id use it for parts to make your Zx3 bad ass. In other words get all the svt upgrades and put them in your car. There you go.

no way, its not to much work. with the work of a plasma cutter and a welder that thing can be back in shape with under 1k. you must know much about metal work?
05-09-2004, 04:25 PM
sell it out, make a ton of cash back.
05-09-2004, 04:43 PM
it looks like the whole body is twisted, if you got it for 4-5k that would be well worth it for all the parts you could get off of it...
05-09-2004, 04:47 PM
engine/trans/ecu/dash/gauges/wheels/sway bars/headlights/grill...just to mention a few things that is easy 5g's
05-09-2004, 04:49 PM
yeah that looks well ummmm nice...i would drop all of that into your zx3, and have the best sleeper!!!
05-09-2004, 04:58 PM
not the best sleeper but a nice one. i still think it would be easier to fix it up.
05-09-2004, 05:04 PM
as long as all the damage to the body is simply the body pieces, and it doesnt go deeper to the chassy or something, i think it would be a good deal, probably relatively easy to fix if you know what you are doing. i just do not know much about body work so i cannot tell if the problems are skin deep (so to speak), or go all the way throughout the chassy.

If you buy it and use its parts in your car, I'll take those seats off your hands!! It would be an interesting project either way I think, switching out the parts or fixing it up.
05-09-2004, 05:39 PM
look closely at the engine compartment pic. Looks like the right shock is lower/higher than the left. I think the suspensions screwed as well as the frame, although he never mentioned it. As for all the other comments it would be better to drop the stuff into your zx3 and then not worry about anything goin wrong with that car even though its fixed.
05-09-2004, 06:07 PM
There is a reason the car is being sold, it must be a total. Which means that it will cost a decent amount to repair.
Fokuz I highly doubt you or anyone else could fix that car for under $1000
Best bet would be to buy it and sell the parts.

^^^ Listen to the man, I think he has a good point...[;)]
05-09-2004, 06:29 PM
yeah, i just sat and thought about. you all right, thanks. im going to watch the auction and see what its near when closing time.
05-09-2004, 06:41 PM
yeah i would want to look at it personally to see what is useable on it...maybe zeebone or scuba could look at it for you to see if it is worth buying off e-bay and maybe you could cut a deal in person..look on e-bay (reserve not met) means that they are not going to sell for 3500
05-09-2004, 07:33 PM
and those people are from the focusconnection site..i am stupid and forgot which site i was on!
05-10-2004, 11:13 AM
I'd buy some body parts off it if it were Infra-red :)
05-10-2004, 11:57 AM
How the hell do you roll an SVT anyway?!?!?! What the hell happened!?
05-10-2004, 09:52 PM
The seller can sell it if the reserve is not met.. Also your not ensured by ebay for whatever promises the seller made if you make a transaction under the reserve..
