Last week I started to buy a 300zx off of AutoTrader.com and everything was going well with the transaction... well here lately I'm getting the feeling that he's trying to screw me.... and I wont take that shit without a fight.

The guy has the money and he's trying to get MORE for shipping after we agree'd on a set price that included shipping... he's trying for an extra $1000 and he says he'll get it back to me once he recieves the money.... which I KNOW he already has.

What I need someone to do is just go by his place and take a look.... you dont even have to get out of the car... I just need to make sure its his house and the car is there.... so I can come collect it (and part of his ASS in person)

I asked a couple friend s if they would go buy, but they all live on the North Side and that address is in the deep south. I'll keep trying but no dice so far

Edit ... its actually on the north part of 610 ... I thought it was on the south part. ... By the way, that's not the deep south. IF someone doesn't chime in with help. I will check it out for you.

Heyyy yeah I googled that address and google changed the zip code to 77009. It is a few miles north of downtown. I live in Galveston. I'm heading to San Antonio tomorrow so I wont have a chance to check the address out. I might have time to do it Sunday evening when I get back into town. I will try my best to head out there this Sunday.

What method did you use to pay him? Did you mail him the money? If so then the address is legit and we are sure to find something out by checking the place out. I got your back on this man.

Sidenote... the zip code 77021 is located about 15-20 minutes south of downtown. So I think that is the incorrect zip.

YEah I just noticed somthing wierd too, when I mapquest it it changes the street name to 6786 ENGLAND Street, Houston, TX

Mapquest is funny sometimes. I used to live on a street called "Kitty Brook" and mapquest would ALWAYS change it to "Kitty Lane" so it was impossible to use my address with mapquest :(

Well at the request of John, I contacted the alleged seller the 300z and inquired about the status of the car. To my surprise I got the email below in my inbox this evening which according to John is very similar to the one he got. Sounds like a scam to me! Buyers beware!

The price for the car is $3,500 with shipping and handling included in price. I am located in Houston, TX now and the car will be shipped from here. Hey, have you sent him any money for the car yet? It does sound like a scam to me. The worst part about this is that the guy probably doesnt even live in Houston. I ran into a similar scam on Craigslist but I caught onto him pretty quick and never gave him any money. I had no idea that there were scammers on Autotrader. It seems like one of the safest places to do business in. I can still check the address out if he has your money.
