i know i don't post here very often, and i'm only even on the site every other day or so, but can someone please explain why all of a sudden in the last two weeks their's ALWAYS a thread with an identical or very similar title and body within the thread on the homepage. It's always the same..."Can i have someones carfax? No it's illegal. The site could get in trouble is carfax sees it. Pm me and I'll do it on the side for you." Jesus tap dancing Christ, how many of these threads do there need to be?

^^^there's going to be as many as it needs to be.....everyone idividualy needs it ones in a while

and so i need it right now....and No im not gonna buy it cuz it simply doesn't worth it in my case....
and i doubt site can get in trouble for this....there are street racing srories on here that can be more fun to read for cops if they really wanted to

Actually there's not racing stories. They are locked immediately.

And yes, it is VERY illegal.
And yes, carfax does like to scour websites for fraudulent carfax reports. And yes FF.com can get in serious trouble for hosting threads just like these.
And yes you can be fined, and the carfax account owner can be fined.

If it "simply doesn't worth it" to you to spend 30 bux for a new (to you) engine, then it shouldn't hurt you to just get the engine and take the chance.

i understand people need it "ones" in a while, which is why carfax offers a one time carfax report.

If it is that important to you to get an engine with 31k miles vs 310k miles (highly highly highly doubt that) then just spend the 30 friggin dollars.

i found nowhere that a person cannot do this occasionally, as long as they are not charging, giving them a printout, or using it for illegal purposes.
as i said in another thread, i'll gladly post their rules up. then maybe you can tell me where you happened to find this info in them. ive read them several times over.

usually its because someone wants to try to push their point without actually researching anything. then when proven wrong they get all defensive. its easier for me to lock them than try to calm things down.
then another thread comes along and the same person or persons pull the same crap...it's a never ending cycle...
