Uber crappy business setup. Some people should never own stores or even be managers.

What makes it bad is this is a corporate owned store, so for the past few weeks we have been hearing them bitch about overtime. This week the manager gets an Email saying we need store volunteers in our district to be open on sundays from 9-5 so that gets the store hours to 7-7 Mon-Fri, 7-6 Sat and 9-5 Sun. There are two managers (store & service) two Techs (who only do service work not oil changes/tires) and two GMT's (oil/tire changes), how could this not lead to overtime, that's 79 open hours between 4 workers a week!

honestly thats how i thought most businesses did things... every place Ive ever worked has been that way. if i need a day off, cool, whatever, i wont get my 40. sorry but i agree with them. your day off is someone else's day to work. cant be stepping on someone else's toes cause you wanted a day off to play paintball.

Thats not what was agreed upon when I started though, I was actually told I would get Saturdays off and the off days would be swapped. What really pisses me off is I never know what my schedule is, they do this "ummm come in at 9 and we'll let you know what time your getting off" I have NEVER let a job run my life outside of work and I won't start here. I am supposed to alternating Saturdays with the other GMT but in the past two and a half months I have not had one off and have been working all closings (which are also supposed to be alternated), if they told me in the beginning it would be like this and I agreed then fine but I was promised a guaranteed 42hrs a week with the occasional saturday off and alternating open/close.

Just found out my doctor is taking the same weekend for carlisle off as well... so its looking like I might be able to go :)

I'm going through my need for a new car again, went and looked at a used 09 Toyota Tacoma TRD. I really like these trucks, I wanted to stay with ford but the F150's interior is just not comfy like the Tacoma and a buying a V6 model truck is better than buying a V8 model truck with a V6. Also the four full doors and a 6000lb towing should make my life easier, Crystal and I are beginning to want kids so I want the bigger car and I am always having o go places a focus should not go. Only problem here is every time I get this way I always stop the sale b/c of my car still being modded, so starting soon the parts will be coming off and the next deal I find I can jump right on it.

great weekend had a blast...ha!

So yesterday on the way down to Savannah my car broke down on me. Fuel pump went out. 23 miles from Savannah. had to wait 3+ hours on the tow truck in 90-something degree weather on I-16... It sucked. Got it towed to a firestone and they had it fixed up in less than 2 hours. $600 later i got my car back. Quite aggravating considering had i been home i could have easily done the work myself. Ended up missing the wedding we were heading down to go to, but did have a great time bar hopping that night. Back home now...

^I like to be orgnaized when I do work. My dad likes to think he's being organized and I have to "organize things" like he wants them when we work on the car together.
I CANT WAIT to get my own garage and I can organize how I want. I will have room for 2 cars to go in. I hate my dad's garage and hes very anal about it. I cant store anything in it. I have wheels in my room and car parts everywhere.

LOL reminds me of a friend I had in high school. He could make that bug pull the front end. We were riding around one night and he launched that thing and the passenger seat mounts broke and I ended up in the back seat[rofl]

Went and got preapproved for a house today, our price limit is around 125,000 to 130,000 which we can find a real nice place around here for that.

Haha your damn right, there will be a gump meet at my house once I have one. We are looking in the 100,000 range right now, close to where we currently live 3br 2bath (at leaste) 2 car garage and a fenced in back yard would be great. I can settle with a nice car port but the fenced in yard for the dogs is almost a need. We are definitely excited, I really didn't think it would be moving this fast already but we are so ready to have our own home.

Real hardwood. Daniel, the other two rooms have carpet and the entire hallway/living room (huge living room) is hardwood I like hardwood but I'm a little afraid b/c my two dogs might scratch the floors.

Fo-sho. Got the pcv hooked up and spark plugs changed and battery charged. Taking 5 because I had to park it out in the yard yesterday and its HAWT out side.

GRRR this car is one thing after another lol. Got all that done and turns out my plugs weren't fouled, I had no spark. The coil went bad. Neighbor got home and hollered over and told me he had one, so I swapped it. Car started for a sec, died. Same thing. Replaced the ignition module and coil, and somehow during this process the rotor got messed up and wouldn't hold right. So I should have it fixed tomorrow. Then its off to the dirt round track. May get a chance to lap one of the cars.

Put a offer for 110,000 on a house today, we love it. Its a great size has a big yard and it is actually a 3bed 2bath, it needs updating (old lady decorating in it now) but nothing some paint and vinyl cant fix right up. the master bedroom is HUGE and it has two walk in closets in it, one extra bed room is big aswell and has a walk in closet too. The third bedroom is not as big but a nice size.

I'll know by Tuesday we are really hoping for this one.
