That would be a total of 8,000. for the whole thing before I would be back to normal, on top of that I would have probably lost my job since it consists of driving all day and the work insurance would not have covered me.

I am pissed at my Lawyer b/c he didn't even show (he was in another hearing at the same time as mine) and he negotiated with the cop without me and I was stuck to accept the agreement without even seeing it first. I would not have agreed to that at all, I would have taken a following to close ticket and my pistol license, but I got [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] and a good deal at the same time so I don't know what the feel right now.

Now that I have the rest of the day I am going to supervise Crystal as I help her take off her shifter counter weight on the SVT.

Old people drive miles upon miles with their right blinker on. They impede traffic. You HAVE to stop on a one lane road if they are coming at you. Also, they get beside people in the left lane and drive the same speed... Grr

Old People need to go thru a driving test every ten years at and after the age of 60. Some old bitch hit my car a week before Carlisle this year and left a pretty decently sized dent in it because her ass wasn't looking backwards when she was backing out. Luckily I have since slowly worked at the dent to make it barely noticeable but still her backing up is like Driving 101, she shouldn't have been on the road!

Well today they had me using a floor buffer before lunch, and pressure washing after.

Funny thing is I do these things at work all day so its no big deal, the people are nice too si thats a plus.

I got to the point where you see it in the picture and i was about to set the timing belt tension. to do that i have to rotate the crank a couple of turns to make sure everything is really lined up. well for the life of me i couldnt figure out why i couldnt get the crank to turn a full revolution. I got aggrivated because i was figuring i'd have to pull the head back off so i quit for the night (about 6:30 am anyways...)... after i layed down and cleared my mind and thought things through, i figured out the problem in my head... one of the flywheel bolts was backed out enough to where it was catching on the engine stand...i felt like an idiot, but am thankful i figured it out before i started taking things back apart!

Yea, i just woke up in a bad mood lol. But I did mock it up to make sure my headers where gunna clear and where I needed to cut the existing exhaust. Can't really do anything else; welder out of wire, fastenal closed so no intake bolts, and I needed to clean my garage.

It all comes down to money. I built the bottom end to handle anything I can throw at it so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. I'll get a better head later but for now I didn't need to touch the head to get it running. Plus the head can be swapped with the motor still in the car.

Got my motor in and got it running... Its not running right though. Sounds like some of the cylinders are bearling firing. Compression is at 115 lbs on each cylinder.. Im not sure what its supposed to be on the SVT. Hope to find what's going on tomorrow.

New plugs? Plugs gapped right? Timing on target? Uh, Maybe bad gas? Could be anything. Just some suggestions.

did you check the compression when the motor was cold or warmed up?

Firing order could be possible, I think it goes 1,3,2,4. You may want to check some of the archives for info. I'm a dura guy lol.

The small things add up. I know one time I forgot to hook up the transmission cooling lines before I started the car... boy was that mess.

We timed it with the cam and VCT held :) Im thinking its a vacuum leak.

I stopped taking days off to work on my cars. Everytime I do, something happens. I either run out of parts, or something else comes up. Like this weekend for example. Had everything ready to go. Forgot to pick up intake bolts, and welding wire, and fastenal was closed. Wtf. Oh well.

And, i still need to find time to put the turbo kit back on the focus. I still have my base tune on my programmer.

yeah i need to go to the store and buy: oil, coolant, oil filter, transimssion fluid, spark plugs, RTV, thread lock, teflon tape, and a torque wrench that reads in/lbs. Other than that the only thing i need that i dont have here at my house is my flywheel which i accidentally left in my buddies truck. I'm hoping to at least get the motor back in the car this weekend. even if it isnt running yet.

MY CAR IS WORKING!!! WOOT... Thank you Evan and Dan for posting the subie focus video.. I watched that and it gave me the idea to change out my coil pack. Mine sounded about the same as Dan's (missfire) and I figured Id give it a go. Took me 4 minutes, cracked it up and BAM sounded like a normal focus.

This was crazy because who would have thought it would have been that? It was working before the cracked cylinders. I dont think a coil pack would cause valves and cylinders to connect.

No but sometimes they break when you switch em around...its weird!

Speaking of which, if you have an extra SVT alternator I may want to grab that off of you as well as that sensor. The battery light in the car comes on occasionally which reminds me of Joel's car at FF...hopefully I won't be that far from home if it goes out on me..

i ordered my jacket from http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ good service and they've got a return policy if you get it and it doesn't fit well. i was skeptical about buying a $250 leather jacket online, but turned out really happy with it. sporty, has removable armor, and a removable liner. during the winter it's cozy with the liner. been out in 40 degree weather and it was good to go. check them out for sure.

My ST grill is toast, my hood is a goner, driver side fender has two nice dents, driver side headlight tabs broken and I HOPE my front bumper gets either replaced or redone. There is no real damage on the bumper that I can see its just in bad shape due to my lack of care when I first got it and the love bugs/ rock chips damage to the paint.

I hope I don't have any issues with the body shop to get my painted grill back on there, and MAYBE if they are replacing my front I'll talk to them about SAP. Not holding my breath on the SAP front though, I'm sure its a PITA to try and get them to do it.

I considered that but, im not mainly going to be using it for my car. The car was just the first thing that popped in my head. Just anything and everything. Hopefully in the next couple of months I'll be able to go to europe for 10 days and def need one for that. I'm leaning towards the flip because it fits in my pocket, ready to record in 3 seconds, and shoots in full HD. With a simply mod from radio-shack you can have these things shooting in wide-angle.

Just got at&t Uverse at the house.. Man it is awesome. I can tell my tv to record tv from the DVR in the living room and play whats on the DVR in my room. Plus HD in my room=awesome. :) And we got the highest speed internet they offer. It is SO awesome. I got to watch the 2009 World Rally in Ireland last night in HD. :)

That's sweet, i don't watch Tv anymore. Because Internet killed television. Nah, seriously I just have everything including my tv on the network.

I called the body shop today. Total estimate for repair is 2167.62, I'm getting a new headlight, Fender, Hood, Painted ST Grille, AND!!!!! NEW BUMPER!! [woot]

I'm stoked about that, now I get a a whole new chance to take care of the front end. It was always the worst part of my car.

Ever think about ponying up a little extra and convert to a 1st gen front? You're pretty much just missing one headlight and fender lol.

Parts already ordered and arrived, besides I have no cash to pony up. [:(]

i definitely feel you on the whole topic of the front being the most effed up part of the car, jon. rock chips all over the front end, some really bad ones on the hood, one that's got it's own ding, lines in the paint on the bumper from the moron who reversed into me at my apartment gate, all sorts of mess. though as time goes on, more and more unexplained marks are popping up all over the car. seriously, 75% of them i can't explain. looks like people just lean their fat asses up against my car and rub their butts around. or place bags and whatever else on my roof and drag them around. i've got a lot of extremely random mess in my paint.

Couple more days, some new plug wires, and some bending to the header and she'll be ready to fire for the first time. Oh an a carb. I turned her over this morning and got the oil pumping. (Yes its a her, and I know thats not the exact way to prime the engine, but I lost my primer rod.) None the less, i'm excited.

My worst part was swirl marks, love bug splatter eating the paint, and rock chips. Since the whole front is better I will be devoting a whole day to buffing the rest of the car to try and get the swirls/ water spots out, then I'll never go back through a auto car wash again.

haha, yeah, i'm sure part of my issue is a result of having become lazy and using car washes more often, but i try to help that a little by only using the touchless ones. i mean hell, something about the thought of rubber things slapping the shit out of a car has never sounded good to me lol

But, those are the ones that get it most clean. Just have to take off the I S33 UF0S euro plate.

How do you not have any money? Didn't insurance just pay you a shit load? You need to know how to work it to get your stuff hooked up instead of just put back to normal. Besides, most aftermarket body parts and whatnot cost less than factory!

There was no negotiations about adding after market pats when I dropped it off and I really don't have any spare cash. I just got done paying the 744 for the ticket/Lawyer, then I need to pay back the people who helped me out with money when I needed it.

I would have loved to turn it into a better car but sadly I think the 06 will never get the VIP treatment.

Crappy news, the body shop was almost done with my car then I called and they said there was a problem with the HID headlights. I left work at 3 to get there and see whats up, I'm guessing the wiring in the new light is backwards b/c when my lights are on low the high beam of the driver side is on and vise versa. So I explain the whole swap the wires in the new headlight deal (b/c the HID kit is the same as when I installed it and worked before the accident) and I decide to check my fogs. The passenger side flickered and the driver side did NOTHING, the F'ed up part of this is ALL the lights worked 100% when I brought it to them. Lastly there is a bit of trash/orange peel that I can see in the paint of the driver side fender, I need to look over the hood/bumper/grill better before I take it back.

i was laughing hard at those things, my dad got a serious kick out that sex one...
