I generally enjoy NFS but I haven't played any after most wanted. However even if the physics in this one are grossly inaccurate it's just so beautiful and thrilly looking. Full cockpits are the titz and the sense of speed from those motion blurs is amazing.

maybe it just sucked up a little water in the carwash? idk, scared the shit out of me. don't need this to be a regular issue. posted this on the duratec forum, probably will get moved to tech, wasn't paying attention lol but any thoughts?

With Zetecs water will get down around the spark plugs and screw stuff up. I haven't heard of that issue on Dtecs and although they have different heads and ignition setups it seems possible.

I don't see how he could have sucked up water being that the filter is completely surrounded by plastic shields in the back and bottom and by the bumper up front. Unless he dumped an extreme amount of water in the engine bay. Check your MAF and make sure it's dry. You may have gotten some water in a connector somewhere.

Installing the new dogbone inserts this weekend, and IDthink my car did this before, but when I wedged the MASSIVE rear strut bar in the other day and went around the corner, the ass end squats now and picks up the front inside tire in a corner. So, rear strut brace = needs locking diff. But, then again, I don't have a rear sway. :/

I already proved that to be false, even at low speeds 10-15mph the intake air temperature of my car is only 1 degree hotter than outside. I had a full thread about it after to many people dogging on the Steeda SRI, did full tests and all.

Now at idle yes you can get bogging issues (but can be fixed by a vented hood), but as for driving the CAI is no better than a SRI.

Only 2 major rust spots found. One under the front driver's side, and above the motor. But, thats where the other bug comes in handy. The body is near perfect on it, but the heater channels are rusted completely out and they are just too hard to replace.


Oh, and Steve. Auburn will most likely win, because thats the week after the gators, so we are going to get raped lol.

that pic doesn't even do it justice. it's a 2001 m2 cyclone, 1203 cc, quite a few custom and aftermarket pieces, the front end is off a newer buell, custom headlights, got some cf pieces on it. beautiful bike in person, only cosmetic issue is some bubbled paint on the tank around the gas tank, a decent amount actually, but from what i've found, its a relatively common issue on buells around those years. damn i want it. wish i had money.

that's what i say. that was my exact opinion both times i've been hit, especially the last time, when i'd just had the front end repainted a few weeks before. and he had to put the car in park to scan his card at the gate. then put it in reverse. and hit the gas. slammed my front end. did no damage, just spider webbed the paint. hell, if you're gonna hit me, make it worth my $1000 deductible.

oh, and i'm somewhat trying to get one of the 2 buells up in huntsville. black/orange one the guy had it for a buy it now of 3700 on ebay, and the flat black and silver buell was on craigslist for 3800. so trying to see how close i can get either to 3000. that way ive got enough money to get it and take my time waiting to sell my v star for what i want.

Speaking of that. It was an interesting holiday weekend. Did a lot of modding to my car and a friends 91 VW Golf. He installed my dogbone upgrade, and I installed his new headlights and stereo system.
When he turns on his brights its 460W of power. Had to use a small amp kit and 40A relays to hook them up. His new stereo system is ballin, you can take it out for racing really easy, and it also doubles as a mobile DJ now.
The dogbone and Massive rear strut bar in my car are nice little add-ons too. Also, painted my trunk black.

Awesome Beetle, best one I've seen was red and had a white luggage rack. It was a total sleeper with a Turbo Porsche engine in back, it blew away a SRT-4 and a GT stang at the same time.

whoa now. i'm putting my own motor together. i just dont have my own machine shop at my house, so boreing out cylinders is a bit too hard for me to do at home with a dremal. Once the block comes back to me i'll be tearing some of it back down to install my windage tray and crank scrapper. then i have to reinstall the top end and all that goes with that.

OHHHHH. my bad. I thought you were paying the guy to assemble the whole engine.

also my new boost controller came in yesterday. Its a EBC that is designed specifically for srt-4's. adjustable boost per gear is going to make traction 100x better.

Seems like there's a guy on here that can tint those for you. Can't seem to find it right now though. Maybe someone else can remember and post a link. Just a FYI for everyone else...we thought the problems last week with the website crashing were bad. I post on The Mustang Source for my 'stang and someone hacked their site and crashed it bad, everything since Jan. '09 is gone and can't be recovered. So I guess our couple of days wasn't so bad.

Shift has "good" physics, they seem to be Dirt/Grid-esque. It got a 9 from IGN.

FYI EA isn't developing it, they are producing it. It was made by the people who made the "GTR" sim for PC.

^^x2, i was going to suggest them as well. you are not allowed to get ghey ebay projectors. for wheels, do you want a contrasting color or a blacked out look. I'm a fan of contrasting lately, some sort of matte aluminum spokey center with a polished lip...otherwise the dark stainless EAP wheels shown in the above pic look excellent and factory.

The track was awesome, it was technical as hell. I walked it about 5 times, but I didn't ride with anyone, so I got two DNF's and then I got a slow run, and then a fast run.

I do plan on superchargin it in the future. Since its a vortec motor. Go to the junk yard get a computer, and the manifold, and injectors. ;) That's why I scrapped the high compression, and just went for some extra porting.

It's funny how much more room there is like that. But the lack of an armrest sure does suck.

I found the offending piece that broke off the regulator I guess. The cable in there isn't really that tight and therefore the window doesn't roll all the way up. It's hard to tell exactly how or where it's broken though. I may need to get a new one. :(

yeah i had to ride around like that for a while in my focus when the window messed up. i ended up having to replace the whole motor assembly.

I know it's not a Focus, but Ford done good by bringing back the Taurus SHO.....mmmmmmmm.

I just hit the jackpot. Just got home with the Motor, which came with a Transmission ECU all wires + header, flex pipe, and..........an off road pipe.... So Ill be selling some parts soon. Im going to keep my hfc and sell all exhaust parts.. Perfect for a regular Zetec motor..
