I have a Zx5 and have always liked the look of the zx3 better.... idk it just seems more sleek and smooth... so i thought maybe i can change my zx5 to look more like the zx3. One way i thought of doing this, which maybe kinda crazy[screwy] , was to remove or alter the that black plastic, metal, watever it maybe that separates the backdoor windows so that it can look like one smooth flowing window.... huh??? i kno i kno... i dont know how to explain it thats why i took some pics.....

has any one ever done this or know if it can be done, cuz i dont wanna go wild and then mess up my car... please help[???:)]

I'm pretty sure u will have to do some crazy stuff to make it look like a zx3... way more work than most would want to do

that's part of the door frame. there's no way i can think of doing it without making major mods to the body in that area. the best i can think of is that you tint the windows as dark as you possibly can and maybe repaint that peice in a nice glossy black.

otherwise, if you wanted to do lots of crazy stuff, lol, i suppose you could possibly rig it up somehow so as to elimate the entire window frame and put a larger window in the door so that it fills all the space. think sports cars and what not, you open the front door, there's no frame around the window, roll down the window and you don't have it framed out. maybe i'm trying to over-explain what i'm saying? i'm sure you've probably got it by now anyways, but that'd be MAJOR work, if it can even be done.

oh, and you could shave the door handles. that'd give the body a smoother look, wouldn't have the handles there. and if you didnt mind not having the doors at all, you could just weld the doors completely, little body filler over it all, shave it down smooth, and paint and it'd look sharp and smooth. put in front seats from a zx3 so they tilt forward...

but i just realized something...going that far...even with tilt seats so people could climb in the back, it'd still be difficult cause the front doors on the zx5 are smaller than those of the zx3 i believe (or i'm assuming this)

Even just this change, done in Photoshop, looks better and might be do-able but probably wouldn't be practical because of cost.

What he said. Throw 2 coats of limo on the rears, and some dark on the fronts. It will make that entire part of the car all black and blend it better.

that picture does look nice... but it would be to much work and would probably end up costing me alot... i guess i'll just have to deal with it and tint the windows like all of you have so greatly suggested....
