Hey I got a question....If I buy the automatic Powerworks supercharger kit for my automatic, and then switch to a manual tranny later, would there be a big change I'd need to make to the supercharger kit?

Question #2, I see focussport has the stage 1 kit for the automatic. Does Powerworks not sell the stage 2 for the automatic yet. Anytime soon?

If you buy the stage 1 , can you upgrade that to stage 2 easily ??

Thanks for help...

No you would not have to make any changes to the supercharger. You will have to make changes to the Throttle body (simply remove the atx bracket) and you will have to get the car retuned.

I would not swap my Atx for an MTX. I think you should beef up your atx. It is easier to do and more cost effective.

Powerworks does not make a stage 2 kit but I believe the only difference between stg 1 & 2 is an intercooler.

If you went with a stg 1, it would be very easy to upgrade to stg 2.

Powerworks comes with an intercooler. There is no "stage 2" as far as I know. The "Stage 2" for PW is a smaller pulley available from Massive Speed System. To put on the smaller pulley, you must remove the snout from your supercharger, send it to them to be modified, and then you can swap out the pulley size.

This "Big Boost Kit" also cannot be safely added without a built engine and tranny. So to add 50 horsepower or so after you install the blower, you are looking at about $3000 minimum in additional modifications to strengthen the motor and transmission components.

i would beef up the auto personally a getrag switch would be a lot of work.

I know it is a lot of work, but I read that "beefing" up this tranny to spec is between $2000-$4000, for that I can switch to a Getrag, pay my own labor and have a glass of tea!!! Unless of coarse those numbers are incorrect.
