I was just over at CVS and saw this on the cover of a Motor Trend(?) I read the article and as much as the article warned readers it probly wont see production [bawling] the writer made it very clear that it would be a very good decision to get these on the lots ASAP.

From the sounds of the article it would beat win over the miata and beat the hell out of GM's roadsters.

The pictures are what reeled me into to reading it but the writer did a great job of getting me excited about this car. And IF this ever does come into production yesterday's announcement of lifetime warenty...[clap]

Dodge is aiming at a powerplant similar to the mx5s within the 170hp range, and rwd...no idea if its a 6 speed or a 5 speed. But, Dodge is aiming for a 15k starting price tag as well...if they do it good for them these things will sell like hot cakes.

I'm guessing the build quality will be as shabby as all the other Dodge vehicles though. Looks nice on the outside... cheapnis on the inside.

the Demon has the same gear box as the Crossfire (6 Speed)

i don't remeber exactly so i may eb wrong but the Demon they tested had a 170hp 2.3L 4Cyl. (i think dont quote me)

I like the Demon - the rear wheel arches and the weird sloping back profile is kinda, yeah, wierd, however, the preliminary reports from the press are good, the numbers are good, and once upon a time Dodge was making sport contacts that were worth a damn (Shelby Dodges, ACR Neon), so they could, potentially, possibly, pull this off...

There was an article a while back in Automobile Magazine (I think, I was reading it in some doctor's office) where they actually test drove one of the prototypes, and they couldn't stop raving about it. The inside is a little bland for my taste (it is a prototype, so who knows what it will end up like), but other than that I thinks its pretty badass..

It's doubtful scalderon. I don't think Mazda would sit by and watch Ford try to take sales away from the MX-5.

Meh...I'd still get a MazdaSpeed MX-5. I just can't bring myself to buy a Dodge...plus the Miata/MX-5 has a huge aftermarket and insurance rates are reasonable.
