: Best Supercharger And Turbo kits for svt
egman2005 07-21-2007, 09:21 AM Hi,
Like the title says im hopefuly going FI in the spring and want to know what the best surpercharger kits or turbo kits are for the money and as far as reliability. I want to be able to keep the car as long as possible and as reliable as possible. thanks
JohnMichael 07-21-2007, 09:38 AM ProCharger is probably the simplest to install and you'd be looking at 280whp with the 10psi pulley. Not bad on price either, around 3grand.
Not sure on the turbo kit, you would get more wtq with a turbo, but they are probably more expensive and harder to install.
jrpasmo 07-21-2007, 04:11 PM Do you wanna upgrade clutch soon or wanna stay at stck for as long as possible, do you wanna keep dual intake manifold? Do you wanna be smoke legal?Do you wanna be intercooled? Do you wanna have less tq but more hp? Do you wanna drag race, autox, track or be only bit faster on dayily commute ? ? There is lot's of question you have to answer to your self before you buy one....
egman2005 07-21-2007, 10:39 PM I wanna have a nice daily driver that can smoke some shit!!!!!!!!!! I want people to think WTF i just got killed by a little focus! And equal amount of Tq and HP is nice. Around 250 and 230 is good for me

Powerworks. For those numbers you want, the PW kit is the best option for you.
price was just recently reduced on them...Give Karl a call over at Massive Speed System.
fusi0n 07-21-2007, 11:21 PM I have a Powerworks-equipped ZX3 and it hauls ass.
For maximum power, turbo is always the way to go. I <3 my supercharger because I have instant power (no lag), and my top end is sweet too.
If there's any chance you want an extremely fast car in the future, though, go with the turbo. Remember that boost is addicting.
egman2005 07-22-2007, 09:20 PM Ok so it looks like it between the procharger and powerworks. whats the best???????????? Im kinda leaning towards the procharger. But ill take either. If anyone is looking to get ride of one in the spring let me know and ill buy if off you if the price is right!!!!! ;)
darkc0bra 07-22-2007, 10:06 PM Powerworks would be the best way to go. Instant boost and a really flat tq curve to smoke people. With the power that you are looking, for go with it.
bearster18 07-25-2007, 12:11 AM What can the stock SVT blocks take HP wise? I think the procharger would be the way to go for all out horsepower on the supercharger side of things that is.
Rudel 07-25-2007, 12:13 AM John went up to 384Hp on his block before having a little fun.
bearster18 07-25-2007, 12:15 AM wow thats a good amount of hp! If I supercharger it I dont wanna have to break in the engine and build it up.
SpeedOften 07-25-2007, 02:40 AM wow thats a good amount of hp! If I supercharger it I dont wanna have to break in the engine and build it up.
and that's only b/c the pistons went.. the block is still ok...
bearster18 07-25-2007, 06:13 AM detonation?
josejsanchez 07-29-2007, 09:20 AM How Much Hp Would The Stock Svt Have If The Powerworks Supercharger Is Installed, And What Else Would Need To Be Purhcased For The Car To To Not Burn Out Quick, As In Pistons Or Cams Etc Stuff Like That???
egman2005 07-29-2007, 10:41 AM the car wouldnt burn out quick. the stock svt can hadle up to 350 hp!!! you just want to upgrade the clutch and flywheel and possible lsd!!!!!!
