im getting a turbo charger for my svt and would like to know what else i will have to get for the engine??
as in pistons, cams etc.... what all do i need when installing a turbo charger??
[scratch]
or would you suggest a procharger, i hear they wear out the trans. and all that quicker is the reason im going with a turbo charger.

SVTs have a pretty good bottom end to begin with...forged rods and oil squirters. A few guys on here are over 300 WHP on a stock engine, and one guy (03OrangeSVT) made it past 360 before he ran into problems, and if I recall correctly his issues were releated to his fuel pump not being able to keep up. Unless you're planning on making 400+ WHP the engine is OK. All I'd worry about is the drivetrain...look into a LSD, new clutch and aluminum flywheel.

The SVT engine is strong. I've been running 10psi on my bone stock engine for 40K miles now, just make sure you have a good tuner or it can get ugly.
