How do all of you out there with Turbos deal with passing the emission regulations in your particular state?

some states dont have regulations, like Florida.

If your state does require inspections, as long as you have a cat somewhere in the line you should pass, unless you're dealing with California's CARB testing...in which case no aftermarket turbo will ever be certified.

I've moved from missouri to kansas (kansas city area) , in missouri I would pay a few bucks more (10 or so) and they wont even look at the car. Got some good friends.

In kansas they check vin number against title and call it done, nothing else [clap]

i have a catless engine back exhaust... just make some friends who will overlook whatever is illegal. easier said than done though, i suppose.

in maryland they are pretty strict, BUT i like to go visit my friends shop when i need mine inspected every two years, and he just writes it off. its so good having friends like that

in ohio i live in summit county and im also A law enforcement Officer and alot of cars with turbo's pass and if i see a nice car with a turbo i pull them over lol j/k but were not that strict here

That doesnt always happen. In fact if they are doing a scan along with a visual it usually will not pass..that is if it is just someone random that you do not know. That is the downside to a turbo...[thumbd]
