Hey guys im looking into superchargers for the future on and I've been looking into the Focussport website. I was thinking of going with the VF stage 2 along with a race header w/ flexpipe and stealth exhaust. Anyhow I saw the powerworks kit for ATX and I was wondering if there is someone around with an ATX with this kit. I saw the numbers and they are impressive but I think they exeed the limit the tranny can handle. ( so i assume if anyone with an ATX is using this kit they are not running a stock tranny correct if wrong ) just wanted to get ur impressions about the kit and it's perfomance on an ATX. Comments welcome! ! !

http://www.lentechautomotive.com// get a replacement torque converter, valve body, and better tranny cooler and you should be ok, You could also have the clutches upgraded too that would help alot. Basically build the tranny up. Stock it can't take much more then the motor puts out from the factory.
Or spring for a whole tranny from them.

Powerworks has done a lot of research in this matter. They have done their homework with their ATX kit. It is designed and tuned for the automatic tranny. There is a guy on here that I am sure will chime in on this situation. No modifications are needed but are recommended later on. Everything is stock.

Included in the PW kit is a reflash program for your ECU which esentially eases the TQ at launch & between shifts. These kits are specifically designed to work on a bone stock ATX Zetec. (Their shop/test car has over 150,000 miles on it without any issues).

yup, they have 2 tunes. one for auto, one for a manual
now..granted, you wont be able to up the boost, due to the stock ATX, but it is designed for the ATX in base Powerworks form.

So with the stock ATX and their ATX tune what kind of numbers can you expect in regards to WHP and WTQ?
