Putting a turbo on my 02 SVT. Was wondering if I should change the stock intake out. Heard they dont like the boost. If I do change what would be a good choice.
Also going to switch the head out. (later in the build)

They are okay up to probably 15psi from what I've read. After that they can blow apart. The CFM couplers help heep everything together though, I'd recommend them

i you are talking about the intake manifold it should be fine. if you are talking about the actual intake, you cant use it with a turbo

Yes the intake manifold it self. The dual runner plastic thing. I was looking for an alum one so I could port to match when I switch my head out. Or can I do that with the one I have? Anyways just looking for the safest way to put a turbo on.

what about custom fabbing one up? either yourself or a shop....some people on here have done that, like CatMostFeared for example......

yeah the aluminum or custom ones will be best but the plastic ones will hold quit a bit of boost.

agreed with everything they said, but why would you swap the SVT head later? it's a great head, maybe pull if off for porting later on, but other than that the svt head flows great
