fake +1 but even so, and I hate to say it, this probably falls under freedom of speech. It's the same as an online tutorial on how to pick a lock or make a disk bomb. It might be used in an illegal fashion but I don't think he'll be held accountable for something like this even if it works.

Totally staged. I wouldn't be surprised if the wires hanging out of the column are just there for the video, you'd have a hard time getting the wires out of the column without pulling the bottom cover off first.

The Focus' ECU won't let you start the engine without a PATS key that is coded to the car. The only way you could hotwire the car would be to tape the key to the cylinder and then twist the wires, if the computer doesn't get the signal off the PATS chip it won't turn the engine over.
