Hey focusin,

Reading other posts about CAI has led me to this (http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/tucsf1006.html). It's one that's mentioned in a few posts throughout SPI chat.

Hey guys,

Since the AEM SRI is for a DOHC engine, what's the minimum size the TB has to be? Or how big is the standard TB on the DOHC Focus?

Yea you just have to put the boot down a little further than if you had a 60mm tb. the only prob I had is with the breather tube but a little force and its all good!!!

o.k, so all i have to do for it to fit my TB, is to push is down more, and force it?

Thanks

Though funds are very slim right now, I think I'm gonna push for a CAI.

My friend drives a '02 Mercury Cougar with a AEM SRI and he's gonna switch it for a CAI. The way he puts it is, "Go with a CAI, or no intake at all!"

That is debateable. Opinions are like [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]s: everyone has one and most of them stink. Short rams and CAI's work on different principles, and as stated elsewhere in the forums there is little difference in performance at highway speeds. Intake choice is a matter of personal taste. I preffer CAI, but that's just my [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]...err, opinion.

The reason for me getting yhe SRI is b/c I will soon get the evo series hood and I will pull all the cold air I need through the vents in the hood. I figured if I got the CAI the hood would be pointles besides looks.

True dat, focusin. But when are good looks pointless?

Besides maybe changing the front bumper to a euro style bumper and the headlights, I don't think I'd change any other body parts, so in my [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)], I'd think a CAI would benefit me more. But it's like Underground said, opinions and [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]s... [:)~]

I have full intentions of getting the evo 5 full body kit, and I never said looks are pointless I said the CAI would be pointless with an evo hood since the hood is pretty much designed for having a SRI.

Hey focusin,

I wanted to know if you could tell me who makes the evo 5 body kit, and where i could get it. If you know the company that makes it, i would love to have the website. Thanks alot.

Sure no problem try www.visionautodynamics.com and search under FRP Body kits. It may take a while for the site to come up but only for the first time.
