Another [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] in a 350 trying to hang. Definitely fun to watch.

drifting = curbing
04-28-2007, 01:03 PM
holy mackeral..... thats funny....
04-29-2007, 01:50 AM
How do you go so wrong, so fast...Wait. Was that one of those guys that thinks racing is easy? What a mess.
04-29-2007, 02:34 AM
well, at least there's a good VQ35 and 6-speed out there for someone...
04-29-2007, 02:39 AM
Holy understeer batman! I think this was posted before or I saw it on another site and seemed the general consesus was it may not have been driver error so much as vehicle. I donno, I wasn't there. Sucks to see a nice race car destroyed though.
saves th3 day

OMG hahhahahhaahha what a n00b.
must have gotten the drift course mixed up with a drag strip?
04-29-2007, 08:14 AM
He was going to fast (already in third gear) and couldn't flick the rear end around so he couldnt drift to the left. I think that tree and curb was why the coarse went to the LEFT lol. AHHHHHHH, skreech, thump, SLAM!

Makes me sad. I feel her hurt pride.

Things happen very quickly on a small course with that much HP.
05-01-2007, 09:08 AM
That was painful to watch.
05-01-2007, 11:00 AM
That looks like it might have hurt.
Why am I seeing so many Vegeta avatars all the sudden. Goku is way better!
05-01-2007, 11:14 AM
^^ Not all of the sudden, that other dude is copying me, mine's been that way for a couple months. And besides, I'm not a DBZ fan, I'm just getting in on an old Internets joke a little late.
05-01-2007, 11:27 AM
As Bugs Bunny would say; "What a maroon!"
05-01-2007, 11:40 AM
At least he had his helmet on!
05-01-2007, 11:44 AM
It's funny to me all the people who criticize him not knowing what actually went wrong or what he did wrong.
05-01-2007, 12:58 PM
I would think he entered to fast and simply couldnt flick the tail around to slide into the corner. He then locked up the fronts and night night into the tree. Unless he pulled the Ebrake so hard he locked up the fronts too. I know my buddies tiburon will lock up the front brakes if the e brake is fully pulled.

Alright guys, I just got my Internet Racing License renewed, so I think I can handle this one.
The 350z has a strong rearward grip bias (by which I mean beefy-ass rear tires, and comparatively skinny fronts), as well as a slightly frontward weight bias. This means that, under neutral cornering, the front has to do more work (more weight is not good for grip except in a straight line, it has something to do with the inverse square law... or something) and has less tire to do it with. Also, under acceleration, there is a weight shift to the rear contact patch. The front tires still have the same amount of work to do, but less weight and therefor less grip to do it with (the transfer moves weight but not mass). This sets up a heavy understeer condition. It's been said more than once that the 350z is an understeery car, this would take an understeery car and make it worse. It would take either:
a) a reconfigured tire setup, or
b) an insane amount of rear toe-out and front negative camber, or
c) at least a moderate degree of driver skill
to get the tail out without just mashing the gas in a low gear and cutting the wheel. In a low gear the engine will overwhelm the added grip on the rear contact patch, but I doubt even a 350z can break the rear tires loose in the middle of 3rd gear at will.
Jeez, dont you guys play Forza or anything? [:)]
05-01-2007, 01:14 PM
I got dibs on the rims.......
05-01-2007, 01:21 PM
05-01-2007, 02:15 PM
That hurt so bad, I watched it 3 times!
05-01-2007, 02:34 PM
05-01-2007, 08:49 PM
too fast and he locked up. drift is about finess, not speed. once you master the basics, then you go fast.
05-01-2007, 09:14 PM
Going at that kind of speed gets your adrenaline pumping so hard that you forget things...like where the steering wheel is.
05-06-2007, 02:18 PM
i really cant see how that could possibly be anything other than the drivers fault.....so funny and sad at the same time
05-08-2007, 10:50 PM
I keep watching over and over.....thats funny
05-10-2007, 04:22 PM
How stupid can someone be? If he drives like that he doesn't deserve that car.
