: Built Motor
FocusZx3Oh 04-09-2007, 03:03 PM Tom,
I am tring to figure out what my options are going to be within next few months. I am going to buy Clints turbo kit to fun on my Zx3. I am eventually going to want to purchase a built motor from you. I want to eventually run hugh boost and I was wondering what type, options, price, and complete motor setup you would suggest..

FocusZx3Oh 04-09-2007, 03:53 PM I have no idea it use to be green
1turbofocus 04-09-2007, 05:02 PM What are your HP/TQ goals
Tom
FocusZx3Oh 04-09-2007, 06:35 PM i wanna be around 350 to 400 hp....more if possible
1turbofocus 04-09-2007, 07:13 PM You do know for that you will need a full return fuel system
I would do the crower billet rods and the rest of the full built engine
Tom
Turbo Turtle 04-09-2007, 11:03 PM what is the most you can make on the dead head fuel system. i want to build my motor soon also and im looking for the limits, lol.
1turbofocus 04-10-2007, 07:11 AM Right about 340 to 350 you start seeing problems , a boost-a-pump will help some , a return fuel system will be best tho

Tom who do you know makes a reture fuel system? I haven't seen anyone on the market with one. [dunno]
Turbo Turtle 04-10-2007, 10:28 AM i pretty sure they have to be custom done. i think that is what i heard tom say the last time this subject was up.
my question for tom is how hard is it to make the return fuel system and what all would be needed.
a return fuel line i know, lol
what kind of rail?
what kind of regualtor?
and did you use the stock tank and make a hole for he return line or did you get another?
what did you do about the stock fueling system? just take that sensor off the computer and run a vac regualed adjustabel regulator?
did you change the fuel pump out to a non variable?
how much did all of this cost you? the longer you think about the process the more it seems like it would cost, lol.
CatMostFeared 04-10-2007, 08:33 PM I need a return system also
Tom make us some [whip]
1turbofocus 04-10-2007, 08:59 PM Its more complicated then that , The liability on something like this is to high to mess with
To do it right you need a fuel cell with a bladder 750.00 to 900.00 just for the safety fuel cell , if you willing to do that i can hook you up big time , complete return fuel system with out labor about 2000.00 to 2300.00
Tom
Turbo Turtle 04-10-2007, 09:28 PM DAMN!!! looks llike i'll just be pushing the dead head to its limits... Eagle rods would work for that right.

That's not bad.
Turbo Turtle 04-12-2007, 10:43 AM i think i'll just build my motor to handle the 350 and then by a gsxr 1000. use that 2300 as a nice down payment. then maybe go down to NC and ride through the mountains that Tom was telling me about.[thumb]
