Looked on the forum and found someone that gave instructions to disable the seat belt waring. They have changed the way you do this on the 2007 models. Hear are the new steps:

- Car is in park
- Parking break on
- Lights off
- All seat belts are off

1. Put car in On position (Dont start it)
2. The seatbelt light will be on and then will go off in 1 minute
- You have 50 secounds from when the light go's off to do the next step:
3. Buckle and then unbuckle 9 times (End with the belt unbuckle)
4. Seat belt light will come on for 3 seconds and then go off
- You have 10 seconds from when the light go's off to go the next step
5. buckle and then unbuckle
- Now your done and the light should flash showing its complete
- Start the car without your seatbelt off to give it a test.

Also take your time when doing this you don't need to rush. Also this is in your manual.

Note
The sound is annoying but you should always were your seatbelt. They would not put it in a car if it did not have a purpose.

Wow, thats a lot of work. Seems to me the easiest way to disable the alarm is to put the seatbelt on. I know it's a crazy concept, click once, and no alarm.

Now if the alarm was going off continually and it was on, then maybe you should try those steps, then take the car in for service.

I wear my seatbelt regardless. It something I dont even think about I just automatically do it. I can get annoying thought. I just turned it off because I hated fighting with my brother over to wear it and then just hearing the sound going on and on.

Yeah its alot of work but if you really want it off and you dont want it to remind you to wear it, I would expect it to be hard work.

mainly a lot of us that work on jobsites do this. when im driving 200-300 ft im not gonna be putting on my seatbelt to take it off and get out. i do construction qa/qc, observation. and before you even say why not walk... do you know how far away from your vehicle and equipment you can get when paving roads and such?
but then again, i just usually click the seatbelt together and leave it that way on the jobsite, no annoying beep that way either

I did it for the same basic reason. I end up driving alot of small distances for work that are not on public streets. Its not worth putting on my seatbelt when their is no traffic, u cant go fast, and its such a short drive. If it was a public road i would. I always do when im on the road but not when they are these short trips.

i just did it because my driveway is really cramped, and i usually have to move my car for someone else to get in or out, and its really annoying to hear the dinging when im going 20 feet. i wish i could turn off the stupid beep when you open the drivers door with the keys in the ignition

It is in the 2007 owners manual. I did mine and I always wear a seat belt!
