You guys seen any in your towns? I've been looking here in the KC area and a) wagons are scarce in general and the closest with manual tranny is about 200 miles away.

Kinda looking for an otherwise loaded 2007 (used or new) focus wagon.

Know of one, say in St Louis, Chicago, Omaha, Northern Arkansas, Oklahoma, etc?

The 07 did have a wagon. Manuals will be hard to find however..

I work for a dealership, and I have access to vehicle locator...the closest one to you is in the chicago area...that may be the one they told you about..

If you found one within 200 miles you're doing pretty good!

If memory serves me correctly, the wagon had a very short production run for the 07 model year. You won't find much selection, and what's out there will have been sitting on whatever lot for some time. They'll probably be weirdly configured - SES with sunroof, mtx, leather, and SAP or somesuch. I know that's how the bulk of the ZX5's in the area are. Strangely configured, but nice. Like my 07 zx3 se with sunroof, safety pkg, and premium sound - almost $17k. Those loaded ZX5's are around $19-20k

To be honest, I haven't seen a new focus wagon on a dealer lot in quite some time. Even this time last year, my local dealers didn't have any wagons. The ford website yanked the wagons from being displayed about 2 months ago or so.

I am finding a few wagons, but automatics. Most of the late model used wagons with are stripped down vesions. Zx5's are still relatively plentiful but as you say, weird combinations of options.

Found a couple of possibilities for used but lotsa miles for the age of the car.

Will keep ploddin'

Good luck, I once had aspirations to have a boosted wagon, but I haven't found a single 5spd in my searching. But an 05+ wagon with the sap front bumper and a FS Stage 2 kit would be quite awesome.

Found a Manual transmission wagon-- an '05 SE with an asking price of $9999

Seemed to be a nice car but I am looking for one as optioned out as possible. If anyone is looking for a wagon, it appeared to be a good car with good service record--bone stock if you care to change it. Check the cars and trucks section.

ok now this is intresting to read about but the question that comes to my mind is this: Who would want a manual wagon to begin with and why? I guess to be different but I would go out of my way for it

I think have a tastefully modified wagon would be uber-awesome. Their potential power-wise is no different than any other Focus obviously, and with the right amount of exterior mods they can look sexy. An SVT or SAP front end, lowered, wheels and tinted tails, IMO is all you need to make one look good.

The manual gives better performance and better economy in these cars.
I had an automatic and it was a pleasure to drive in the city but trying to pass on a two lane road with curves and hills to deal with was a real pain.

We will be doing lots of travel with the wagon so I want both-- economy and improved performance.
