Idk if this goes for everyone but its fun for awhile 2 have an svt u do whatever u want 2 do 2 it. But then u can only make it so much faster/better before u can't do anything else. I'm not f/I but I'm bored with my svt I'd rather get something that's better already that I have a better base to start with then where the svt is. Its a great car n its fast n I'm not trying to have the fastest car but it was a good starter car before I get a better car. But that's just me idk bout everyone else

yeah, most are ditching the handling and going for speed! though, i love my svt. even after i wrecked it. though, if someone came and offered 3K over what i owe, than its gone!

So why don't you trade your zx3 for a WRX? Why would you have to have an SVT to trade it for a WRX ? I agree with Scott, people are just moving on.

^ya it sucks to see all these svts getting sold, but poeple have to move on eventually, if i had svt id keep it and park it, resale value in a few years with a 04 model, cuz thats last svt made, would be worth some bucks!

Well the reason I sold mine was because of the $400 note, $200 insurance bill, and 17 mpgs....which equaled up to about $200-$300 a month depending on how much we drove it. Too expensive for what it was.

So why don't you trade your zx3 for a WRX? Why would you have to have an SVT to trade it for a WRX ? I agree with Scott, people are just moving on.

now me on the other hand, I'm trading on a 4wd Tacoma or a Jeep Wrangler. It just doesnt meet my needs anymore. I love the car, but I think I've out grown the go fast stage, I wanna go places other than paved areas.

Same here...kinda. I out grew the 4 cylinder stage though. I don't see any point in modding a 4 cylinder for the price when I can take a v8 and get more ponies for a cheaper price. I plan on making my ST just a good looking daily driver and leave the fastness for my 350 s10.

funny as i started a feeler thread on SCF (socalfanatics.com) about possibly seeing what i could get for my car. i need a bigger car and am looking into a is300 or something. will buy my gf a m3 and eventually get the IS and hopefully be able to keep my svt.

I'm getting an RX8, but not due to any failing with my SVTF. I have had it and raced it for several years, and now just feel like making a change and having a different experience.

I still think that the SVTF is an awesome car, and I'm not dissapointed with anything about it. I don't mod (spend my $$$ on good tires and race entry fees), so I could care less about "potential" for BHP and have frequently punked cars with much more power. I wrote up my test drives, btw, if you want to see what I thought of the SVTF vs.

After all those, really only the RX8 could give me the pure communication and agility that I love so much in the SVTF.

I almost sold my SVT for the Mazdaspeed 3 so I will chime in here. The reason I was going to move up was not because of handling, which is my favorite part about the car, but because of the power. The car just isn't fast enough, and actually feels slower than most 4 cylinders driving around town because a) 1 & 2 gear are too tall, and b) The SVT doesn't make much power down there.
However, I now am going to keep the car and go turbo . Then the car will be everything I want it to be.

While the SVT is a blast to drive and i like the fact they are kinda rare.....i'm ready for soemthing new in my life. I'm starting to grow out of that boy racer stage of my life and want something with a lil more refinement that's still fun to drive. And while the SVT's look much better imo than regular foci...i never did fall inlove with the looks of the car...just my recaro's....so i'm moving onto a g35 coupe....it jsut meets what i want in car now....good performance....power....looks....and man is it quiet on the highway compared to my SVT.

It's not that I don't love my SVT, I just can't handle the constant replacement of broken parts. I Know that is a few other ppl that have gotten rid of their SVT for this reason. I'll be selling mine within the next year for sure. This car just isn't made for the country roads here in Indiana! I'll still be sad to see it go. :(
