Like the title says:
Spyker are basically saying its unfair/against regulation to run a customer car as a production car. Both Toro Rosso and Super-Aguri are cutting costs big time by not developing their own cars. Toro Rosso used a de-tuned ferrari V10 last year to cut costs but, were never successful. Now that Super-bestfriends have a points scoring car Spyker is upset. Basically seeing how Jordan feels about this and the other 3 F1 fans we have on the board. Maybe we should jsut switch to PMs Jordan?

while i dont give a rats ass about spyker, i do feel that customer cars are a bad idea. i dont want to see f1 turned into a series where we have maybe 2 or three different chassis manufacturers and all the cars perform exactly the same(ie. CART, IRL).
come to think of it, i dont really like the direction appears to be heading over the next few years. engine development has been frozen, customer cars will be entirely legal, and developmental costs are supposed to be getting cut. f1 is supposed to be about each team continuosuly trying to push the technological envelope to develop the the best car possible. nobody wants to see the cars remain the same year in and year out.
anywho, the team i do feel bad for this year is williams. here we have a team that is used to being on top and winning consistantly but has been reduced to a midfield runner with a mediocre budget and lackluster toyota powerpalnt.

I think their beef is quite legit although I believe the current system does offer some interesting dynamics in terms of competition and strategy coming into each race. I thought Australia was a blast and placement for midland teams didn't seem out of the ordinary; its not like the advantage is so great that Super Aguri will be coming in the top 5 from now on to exagerate a bit. Now one thing I do not like is the tire situation I loved the michelin/bridgeston battles, even in earlier f1 seasons the sheer factor of having different developmental technologies competing mano a mano is something I find unique to the sport. Despite it all this season is gonna be awesome, I'm going McClaren although my first love will always be Ferrari. Kimmi is just too cold (colder than Schumi) to be wearing Ferrari Rosso it's weird for me!
jordan, I was a big fan of Williams back in the day right now I like Nico but he's gotta prove himself and Wurz well I don't know much about him. Now as for BMW sauber I really want to see them do good Heidfeld and Kubica are no pushovers hopefully they can gather that talent and produce some consistent top 5's this season.

alonso is pretty cold himself. kimi is an interesting character and probably a bit of an alcoholic. ive never read anything about alonso going to strip clubs and pulling out his weener.[:0]

I think Spyker have a legitimate reason as well. I think that its very unfair for a team to skimp on the R&D and just buy last years car and be competitive. I agree with Jordan that F1 is about the development and racing customer cars takes away from that. I really don't want to see 2 to 3 chassis and engine combos racing against each other. I loved back in the day when BMW had a faster car but, Ferrari had better acceleration out of corners. That is the F1 that I loved. I am honestly done with this tire bullshit too. 2005 was a shit season because of the FIA [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]g with the tires and 2007 will be the same. I think that F1 should go back to V10 and independent tire manufacturers. Stupid FIA trying to slow F1 down...
