I've been very happy with my 07 ZX3 SE. Granted, my old 02 ZX3 was bare bones (base model - only option was a/c), so the new SE feels substantially nice.

Which 07 trim level did you go with? S, SE, SES? I personally feel that black is the best color for a focus hatch - that's the color my old one was and my new one is. That, and the fact that I had a choice of two ZX3's at the dealer - both black.

I have a barebones S with only AC because here in miami they dont seem to recive SE's that are manual

Here is an update it is parked outside i have the keys and at 1 pm(40min) when i get out of work i will drive it for the first time. =) It only has 41 miles how long of a break in period should i give it?

R.I.P the hatch[bigcry] I'm a sedan guy, but I will trully miss the "bubble butts" on the road. I still don't know what ford is thinking?[screwy] But anyway [welcome] and enjoy that foci!!!!!

Last of the hatches, something to be proud of. Frankly, I was kind of glad that my 02 conked out now while there are still new 07 hatches available. I would have hated to not have a hatchback as an option.

For me, a focus hatcback with a five speed is the epitome of what the focus is all about - Sport Utility versatility, great fuel economy, and that sports car feel. And that's just when bone stock (I don't really mess around with modding my cars)

You'll have some adjustments going from an 02 to an 07. For example there isn't a tach, the leather wrapped steering wheel, fog lamps, and alloy wheels are gone unless you have the sport package (I don't believe it's available on the S). The lack of a tach will take some getting used to - it took me two days. There isn't a drawer in the dash like on the 00-04 models (which I really miss), but there is a CD jewel case holder in the left hand driver side of the dash (really useful as I don't listen to CD's so much).

With those minor caveats, there isn't much change so the adjustment shouldn't be bad. Since I went from an black 02 zx3 to a black 07 zx3 - nobody seems to notice I got a new car.

Looks like that dealer is into the Model T marketing scheme on the hatchback - any color as long as it is BLACK.
