havent been to the track just got my stuff done this past summer and i go to college so not alot of time race on the streets though take some neons, older civics stuff like that went to fun ford weekend but didnt race most of those guys ran befween 16-18 one guy ran a 14.99

I fit a ZETEC cold air on my SPI, it works great. before that I had a short ram, which also worked very well.

howd u do that zim?

GET AN ADAPTER FROM MYFORDPERFORMANCE.COM

at one end, the joint was fit around the intake pipe, and the other side was tapered to fit the zetec throttle body... I just cut to fit.

or you could get an adapter from MYFORDPERFORMANCE.COM, as ptown has informed us ( thanks ptown [:D]

actually though, the adapter zim was talking about is really unnessicary. do like he did and cut it to fit, thats what i did.

i just got my focus spi (2001) a few months ago and its totally stock. what do you recommend for a good first mod that i can get for like less than $400-$500.

greenday, start with the intake, maybe some new sparkplugs and wires... I like the Bosch platnum 4's myself, and start looking into exaust systems ( I personally like the focus sport)
and whc, thats a good choice of not putting on the wing [thumb]

I think that people who are listing stereo equipment as if that's considered modding your car is lame... and pipe extenders... well, they're just stupid looking... anyone can tell they're fake and they don't do anything but make you look like you're trying to be cool... in my opinion.

Can some of you guys that have done some "real" modding (not just stereo equipment) post some pics of your vehicle? That'd be tight thanx guys.

o..didnt know they actually made turbos for the SPI since ive never seen one..thanks for letting me know :)

there is a guy on car domain that made his spi turbo and he is selling the 1.9 escort motor and the turbo that goes with it. I don't the name but i saw it on there. he was selling it for some crazy reason i don't know but i'm guessing the only way to do it is by the escort motor swap. not too good with cars i am [yoda]

ESCORT RS (UK), ESCORT GT and EXP (US) are three examples of the CVH bolt on turbo manifolds, turbos, downpipes, and oiling systems. From there you'll need to work out fuel management.

Try UK Escort RS sites, Ebay, and wrecking yards. The US spec turbo manifold will set you back, so be ready.

Mr. Bubble, I know You're new, but use the search button, google, yahoo.etc. Every post i've read today, you're on there asking a question about all kinds of things that are always asked.
